We just beat the Warriors last week... Capela was an integral part in beating them.

To this day, I don't understand why this board even engages with this basketballholic guy. If he was as smart as he thinks he is, he'd have a job in the league. He doesn't, so why even entertain him.

Anyone can piss in the wind, but it's a conscious choice to keep standing downwind of the piss.

You are the one who said there are many players not in the NBA that could be on rosters and some of those players would better serve the Rockets than Capela would. You brought up Randolph as an example (although there is absolutely no compelling evidence that shows he would better serve the Rockets)

Still waiting on other names. Since there are "many" and of those "many", "some" would serve the Rockets better than Capela, surely this should be some easy task.

And you are absolutely correct. My "sister" has not watched Randolph play. (neither have I, but that's irrelevant to the claims YOU have made). As a BBS hint, you should put an @ in front of my name (or any poster you call out), so that we are more sure of seeing it.

Bro he went off for 29 and 21 against them last week... Capela is sill growing just cause last year he didn’t dominate over 7 games doesn’t mean he can’t do it.

Unfortunately, 0 of the 30 GM's seem to agree with you.

I suppose you're right. That "recipe" certainly helped the Cavs knock off the Warriors a couple of years ago, with Tristan Thompson hitting 3 after 3.

just realized that In his last 10 games:

Capella has shot 67% from the line.

75% in his last 5 games.

Looks like Hack-a-Capella era may soon be over.

Good stats to highlight! If he can manage to hit 65%+ at the charity stripe consistently, it's well worth the $500K. Clint is a highly intelligent young fellow, with a real determination to up his game. As has been pointed out elsewhere, he isn't kicking back now that he has the big contract. Quite the opposite. I wouldn't be surprised if he's well on his way to having a baby hook shot and a short jumper around the basket by next season. Sooner would be nice, but I'll take the steady improvement with a smile.

Morey plucked another gem from Europe, this one being a guy who wants to be a star on the biggest stage of the world's premier league, unlike that dude playing in Spain. Yule, or drool, or mule, whatever his name is. After this many years, it's not worth remembering his name. He can enjoy being a big fish in a smaller pond. Clint Capela has bigger fish to fry. He wants what we want. A championship. Driving a certain member crazy along the way is a side benefit.

Should have saved the draft pick and simply signed Anthony Randolph from the European league.

And Randolph plays in Slovenia and cannot get a job in the NBA.

You kind of remind me of Kenny Smith with your logic...lol

So you are saying that you truly believe that if we had Thon or Randolph last year we would of beat GS??? I would understand your point if you were referring to Nene, but the fact that you act as if Capela is not an above average defender on the switch is ridiculous. Even last night against Murray and Harris he wasn’t bad at all.

You are also disregarding the fact that Boogie will play significant minutes.

Also, please post your proof that Randolph is a better switch defender than Capela....We’ll wait....

What’s our record with CP3, Harden and Capela all playing overall? How many times did we lose this year with all three?

Rockets’ Clint Capela: ‘I think I’m an All-Star’

    https://m.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Houston-Rockets-Clint-Capela-wants-to-be-All-Star-13511490.php?utm_campaign=CMS+Sharing+Tools+(Mobile)&utm_source=m.facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&fbclid=IwAR3KMyp_5yZvnO_eoJiBMrsOhlEZNd0nt-2EsNtmPQ5xIUFv3mYNAMH96Iw

"I think I'm an All-Star," Capela said before the Rockets faced the Trail Blazers on Saturday. "I think I've been playing at an All-Star level. My numbers are showing that. My team's winning. I have a great impact on that. And of course, I think that James (Harden) is the MVP."

holic faints: "We wouldn't trade him for anybody"
