Love it! Great deal. Let's go.

[Wait - I just realized Jeff Withey is still available. Awful deal.]

Look at the time of the original post. Kelly posted it 4 minutes before Woj. Then Woj came back with the financials.

Probably I.D.I.O.T., but I think Clint is the key to unleash Melo offensively. OKC doesn't use Adams the way they should. If Adams was a relentless Pick n Roll threat every time down the court like Clint is here in Houston, Melo would have been getting open, rhythm, uncontested shots in OKC. Clint is a great PnR player, but he is an even better decoy.

We all know Melo is a mid range player, that corner three (with Clint as a decoy lob threat) might as well be a mid-range shot.

Great job by the Rockets, scouting and developing CC. Clint's worked his a$$ off and has a fantastic attitude. Helluva deal for both sides.

I thought 4 yrs 75 would do it since he basically already turned down the 5/85 deal before (that could have been 5/90 with incentives).

It looks like Capela's camp looked at the market and realized his best best was to stay in Houston and get the guarantee 5 years and worked it out to get that extra $5 mil guaranteed as well. Good job on both sides. We all knew this was going to end this way, we just weren't sure who would budge the most. Morey was smart to hold off on throwing a max at him, but keeping him in the loop at the same time.

a very fair deal for both sides, alittle over paid right now but if he keeps improving like he did last year he will be really underpaid. And a Full 5 yrs, basically means Him and harden are the core untouchables

Free throws scare me. Hack A Cap is a real strategy that impacts the club. I understand everything else he does somewhat offsets, but it still can happen at bad times. Here's hoping he improves that aspect of his game.

"The Rockets have gotten worse this off season"...wonder if that narrative will stop being pushed by sports outlets.
