Capela has only missed 3 games. Black got Nene's regular backup minutes in 2 of them. Black also gets Nene's time when Nene rests. It's too soon to tell, wrt comparing McHale and MDA at filling the center position. So, with regards to the Center position, we don't yet have any proof that MDA is handling injuries to the starter any differently than McHale. That's why my last comment was "We will find out."

If he continues to play Black at 12+ minutes during Capela's DNPs, then I would vote that you don't list Black and Dorsey on your 2015 list anymore. That's all.

maybe I'm misreading this, but when have we ever gone three deep at the center spot in one game (discounting garbage time)? The strength of the 3 centers we have that everyone here has always discussed (especially MDA) is Black was signed to fill in for DNPs...and MDA has done that. We were never going 3-deep as a rotation per game. McHale never really did that either. And most coaches don't.

You don't pay Capela $100+ million with or without LeBron.

I don't think your argument for black playing nene's backup minutes holds when nene doesn't play Clint's starters minutes . I don't want nene to play 30 minutes ... I want black to play more than 12 minutes .

What I meant by the 1-2-3 is that we could and should have 40 minutes of center play .

    He is completely delusional.

When tinman embedded himself in an idea it was at least humerus on occasions.

    With holic it's embarrassing.

Those with common sense would as well. You've got 3 of the best passers in the league but don't want to lock up a young'en who has improved every year, and has no problem doing the same thing over and over again that makes this offense so deadly.

Pay no mind to holic. This is the guy who'd give Rubio a Harden type contract in an instant.

He's yet to learn to control his 7'8 wingspan. Probably foul out of the game in 5 hardcore minutes.

MDA says he's day to day. The Doctor says he can play but he won't be able to see from his right eye. Keith Jones says he needs a cheezburger

Horforf plays PF so with Ryno guarding him so yeah it might get even uglier then the Gortart situation. At least Nene and Black play defense

I some what agree but I do think Capela has proven he's a top 10 center this season the effect he has on our team on both sides is enormous.

I don't want to pay him 100m because I don't want the problem okc has.

I like Adams but he's not worth 25m a year.

    Wouldn't you agree?

I think that's one of the worst contracts in the league even though he's a damn good center.

We need to keep Clint at 60-65m over 4 years. That's the max I pay him.

If we're going to even keep this exact team together that's the most he can get imo.

I like Ryan Anderson a lot but eventually he's gonna have to move on we just can't affford to pay him 20m for two more years after this one when in all likelyhood cp3 is going to making a minimum 28m a year and that's if we're lucky.

I'm holding out hope cp3 takes less money to guarantee a 5 year deal.

    Like 5 years 125m.

That would help a lot in terms of trying to figure out a way to keep cp3 Clint and snag Lebron.

Ryno and Gordon would have to go I think but it would be worth it.

The injury bug has hit, but at least it's early. Clint is young and durable. As much criticism as I have towards Clint, I definitely recognize his value to this current team. I have been very impressed with his improved hand-eye-motor skills and catching most passes, the increased rebounding and general floor awareness. He's been great for us. Thankfully, April is more important than January, so he has time to heal. But, for now, we've gotta dig deep.

    The obvious:

-We have help in Ne, who is due for some bigger games like last year. In his decreased minutes/shots etc, Ne is still incredibly dependable. Am I biased? Of course, but look at backup PFs in the league, in the same minutes/great contract...Ne is doing his job and we've got awhile to go. A Nene healthy in the playoffs will pay off big time. We missed that last year...not just the offense and defensive toughness. Ne's intensity is contagious...and yeah, I'm waiting for the right moment for NastyNe to come out to protect James (or co.) when they get rocked on an unnecessary foul, or when he's getting a board.

-Ryan can play the 5 offensively, but his ass doesn't belong anywhere trying to defend a guy like Embiid, Boogie, Chandler, etc..

--In rare situations, and if the opp's big man isn't really a "big," PJ can defend that spot out of pure strength and position/space awareness. As a fan, I like this low-risk/high-reward substitution in the right situation. Hmmm...PJ is Chuck Hayes smaller cousin, without as much bulk, but with a strong frame and an offensive game. It hasn't been seen much this year, but during his tenure in PHX, PJ would defend the 5 when other guys had foul trouble. He is a nightmare for bigger guys (poor analogy is how Shaq hated Chuck guarding him because smaller guys are damn pests for big men)

-TBlack is good for about 5 minutes or 6 fouls. I haven't been remotely impressed with him. Although he is offensively challenged, there is no excuse for being disinterested or playing without purpose. PJ Tucker gets on TB for a lack of intensity (As does Ne and CP3--who probably is having visions of DJ and not understanding why TB isn't playing above the rim lol)

So, there is a bit of depth concern for us in the front court, but it's early and we're certainly not fighting for our playoff lives.

There's chirping, but it seems as though there is no rush to do anything drastic. Seems like mgmt/coach/team leaders want a longer look at a full, healthy-ish roster before tweaking some great chemistry. In any trade, this will be a year of pain, similarly to the pain that was first felt when saying goodbye to Pat. CP3 is a superior talent, but I don't place anyone's drive or heart above Pat Bev, even if their name is LeBron.

Putting aside our rooks and the popular BBrown, our roster doesn't have a whole lot of guys you'd feel personally well, in terms of parting ways with them... (I mean, even PJ Tucker, who makes me cringe when he takes that 3-ball, plays his ass off, can play the 3 AND 5 spot, along with getting the rebounds and loose possessions that we wouldn't get in past seasons. You can see why PJ makes you win games; The pain associated with losing Luc is self-explanatory--the epic +/- and being able to play spots 1-4 is invaluable)

For me, I look at this "problem" as a challenge more than anything. If our record had us in the 5-7 spot, I'd be more concerned, but our guys have taken care of business--aside from this losing streak--to put us in a great position.

3 Losses in a row leads to coming together for a learning experience, and improving communication towards solving our on-court issues. We've got this.
