So if I were to pick up one of the Rocket centers for fantasy, should I get Nene or Trez?

I get that Capela is one of ours and has a great attitude, and especially he is so much cheaper. But Noel is a freak who is constantly generating second chance opportunities with blocks, steals and effort on the glass. Will he cost more next season, YES, but so what??? Let's win THIS season, our time is NOW. And he could be an investment for the future as well. Morey loves those former lottery picks too.

Noel is the kind of young long athletic defensive minded live wires that this Rockets' team needs to surround their plethora of shooters. We will need more of those kind of role players in the postseason. Bev-Ariza-Noel could be the penultimate defensive anchors in the post AND the perimeter so Beard, Splash & Ryno can do their thing.

Capela isn't meh, he simply just isn't 100% ready to accept the starting position which is why his minutes are still limited to 20 minutes per game. Defensively speaking, the Rockets are actually better defensively with Nene or Harrell on the court. What the Rockets miss most from Capela is his ability to finish on PnR, but Harrell would likely mitigate some of those losses.

It's still a big loss but people seriously need to put things into perspective. We are not a below .500 team without Capela don't be ridiculous.

Are you saying that without Capela we will be 19-35 for the rest of the season? Overreact much?

When was the last time DMo got more than 2 boards in a game? The last time he played a game for the Rockets back in April. It's funny how quickly some have forgotten about his game. I get going the "Rockets don't need him" as a knee jerk reaction to them not having him, but pretending like he wouldn't be amazing to have right now is laughable.

Anything under 55 wins is a failure at this point.

Capela simply doesn't have the frame to be a good rim protector. I like him as a back up, but we should be searching for a quality staring C anyway, and this is the perfect chance.

You go ahead and celebrate regular season success while the rest of us worry about the post season where Capela should already be playing.

How exactly do you do that without tearing up our core?

Not good at all, but at least it's not season-ending like most the Texans injuries. Texan breaks an ankle at NRG, out for the season. Crazy

Chandler would be beyond awesome if we don't surrender anyone form the roster to acquire him.

This is ridiculous. Home court doesn't matter much in the playoffs anymore, match ups matter more than anything. The Rockets are not going to destroy their rotation in a trade just to replace 20 minutes of production.

This sucks but it's not like he'll be out the whole season. He should be back with around 30-35 games left in the season which is plenty to get back in shape for the playoffs. That's when we're really going to need his rebounding and rim protection anyways.

We will be fine without him. It's going to be different but the chemistry is so good this year that I expect nene and Harrell to up there play especially Trez.

All it means is guys have to step up. If this happened 10 games in before bev came back I would be worried, but the rockets have really upped there defense on the perimeter.

We can make it the next 6 weeks.

Even if he comes back in 25 games and the rockets only go 15-10 in that stretch we would still be 36-17 with 29 games to go.

This 10 game win streak give us a little cushion but we still have winnable games and the clips just lost griffin for 6 weeks as well.

If the report is true that he is going to be out for 6-8 weeks, then NO WAY to trading Ariza or Dekker for Noel or Chandler or anyone else that might be available right now.

If he ended up being out for the rest of the season or something then we would be more desperate. But otherwise I would rather have no Center for 6 to 8 weeks than trading Ariza or Dekker for a patch fill in
