Well that made a lot of sense? Work on your English skills before questioning my knowledge of championship basketball. But since we're on topic DreamRun, educate me.
Somebody put of the .gif of Chris Paul just chopping up and putting Lin on skates and goes up and under off the glass for the layup. That was a sweet move nothing Lin could do he was overmatched best pg in the league.
Found the Nasty Move he did on Lin. http://www.sbnation.com/2013/11/5/5067736/chris-paul-embarrasses-jeremy-lin-with-nasty-move
First of all, in most cases you are not going to win by having just 1 star player on your team. I think the 94 Rockets were the last team where hakeem was the only all star on his team and they won a championship. People don't realise how good the role players on that team was.
The problem is when gms try to construct a team around him. Its the same failed formula when you try to get shooters around him. The best way to put a team around him is to give him more people who aren't dependent on him to get a shot. In the playoffs, teams will squeeze dudley and reddick and paul will be forced to be the scorer he really don't want to be. In la, magic had kareem and worthy. In deroit, zeke had dumars and vinny. Those guys didn't need magic and zeke to get them shots. Cp3 do have crawford, but he needs another. Let's be frank also, his teams haven't had a lot of playoff success either.
Paul has done fine with his teams. You can't just say great player == championship, or else guys like Malone, Barkley, etc would have many titles. This is by far the best team Paul has been on (his cast in NOH was crap and the last two years were works in progress with the worst coach in the NBA). If the Clippers were so easy to solve, they wouldn't win in the regular season either. The playoffs aren't all that different despite what the media would have you believe. The same idiots made the argument that LeBron was a loser because he couldn't win in Cleveland (where he was in a similar situation as Paul in New Orleans). Then he finally got good teammates and, lo and behold, two titles. Paul will get his shot too.
With LeBron, I remember hearing the same ****.. he's ball dominant, he's easy to figure out, teams will just lockdown on him and make his teammates beat him, etc. Good players find a way to win. But they do need help.
Dude, you are so far up his ass. He hasn't gotten past the second round. Last year he couldn't get it done. He is a great player, but his style does not win in the playoffs. Teams squeeze shooters and make him have to be a scorer. He's to passive to do it. That flopping crap won't get called either.
You ignore all the main points were making. The Clippers won't win anything this year or next. Y'all will win 55+ games and be out round 2 against us or the Spurs.
Last year Paul played fine but his #2 guy got injured and they were already playing a very good team. He took an NOH team that shouldn't have even been in the playoffs to a game 7 against the Spurs. So what if it was in the 2nd round? It was still one of the top three teams in the NBA at the time. If Paul were in the east, he would have made the Finals by now but that wouldn't change how he is as a player. This whole thread is obviously a troll by someone who dislikes Paul for whatever reason (the flopping, the fact that he destroys your team when they play, the attitude, I dunno). You trade him for whatever PG runs your team and your team only gets better, and that is true no matter what team you root for. You are just too obtuse to see it.
LOL, certainly not against Houston if you guys don't learn to play defense. The Clippers practically set a team scoring record against you tonight. Spurs are a great team... I'm certainly not counting them out for the Finals again!
Thanks for the gif. Looks like CP3 pulled an MJ on Lin before the layup. His left hand pushed Lin under the basket.
Expect Reddick and Dudley to go off every night Lol? The clippers are a worse version of the Steve Nash run Suns teams. Nash>Paul Amare>Griffin Nash couldn't get it done and was a better player than Paul is now. Your team is a pretender.
Those Suns are a great comparison. They would have won a title in '07 if not for that ridiculous bench brawl that cost them a home win. The road to the title was just Utah and Cleveland.. pretty much a lock. There's no reason that style can't win. The Spurs didn't figure out the Suns that year (but they could beat them with half their starting lineup suspended) and the Rockets won't figure out the Clippers this year either. And yeah, as long as you keep leaving the Clipper shooters wide open, they'll hit at a torrid clip. I assume the Rockets will improve their defense at some point-- after all, you have probably the best defender in the NBA as your anchor-- but it's obviously a looooong way from being there. Clearly Paul did something to offend you as your hate is irrational. You should appreciate his greatness while it is there.. these things are fleeting.
Why are so many people doubting the obvious? Clippers are a Top 5 team and a title contender. I don't know if they're the favorites, but they're up there. Chris Paul is playing the best basketball of his career so far this season. He keeps it up, and they most certainly can win a ring.
