It's amazing how much Parsons has been hurt since he left us, but he manages to reap the big contracts. Talk about an injury prone player.

When a guy your counting on gets hurt, there is no upside. Not now. Not in the long run. Not ever. But I agree overreaction isn't beneficial. From the point of view of pre-season, we are down two bigs (Capela/Dmo). If Onuaku isnt up to the task, we need another body. Especially in the light of the injury history of our roster.

I'd rather see Wiltjer in than KJ. At least he can make the 3's. He needs some minutes in our rotation to start developing more skills.

Fantastic post. It's time to see what we have with Montrezl. D'Antoni is giddy to see Trez full time.

Wiltjer is definitely the better prospect at this point but:

    1) Wiltjer is no physically ready to play in the NBA imo. Trust me it takes a lot for me to say that, I'm not one of those people who thinks everyone should bulk up. But right now, Wiltjer can be posted up by PG's and that's just too much of a liability. I think he will be a superb bench player next season.

    2) Since we'll be giving Ariza more minutes at the 4, we would need more minutes at the 3. Also since we're losing a big man and we've lost no 3pt shooting with Capela going down, I think KJ's athleticism would be more needed than Wiltjer's 3pt shooting.

But yeah otherwise I agree Wiltjer should be prioritized as a up and comer. KJ has had plenty of chances, I can't keep blaming coaches for him not winning minutes.

Yes, KJ's athleticism would be more needed than Wiltjer's 3 pt shooting. I just want to see Wiltjer get some more minutes when we have a big lead. I do like KJ, but agree that he has had plenty of chances. His last 2 or 3 games weren't very good, which doesn't help him get more minutes. That's a shame, because I like his potential.
