I'm sorry but Luther but no. He seems like a really nice guy, always in himself, always quiet, never complains and does his job. In the regular season that is, because in the playoffs he is useless and that's a shame. Even if he develops more D and passing skills, he will never be more than a 10-15 min guy who CAN shoot lights out. Still, I don't mind seeing him go.
he is a 20+ mpg guy for two different coaches? Why are you calling him a 10-15 guy? Heck, Damon Jones, who I think Head most compares to, is a career 20+ mpg guy, too.
Maybe i didn't say it right but even though Head has played 20+, he doesn't have the talent to be a 20+ guy. If the Rockets had a better SG coming off the bench, no way Head would've played 20+ overall during the season. He's a good shooter, and has some nice moves going to the basket but that's it. Sorry for the confusion.
Is Mike James more talented than Head? Bobby Jackson? Damon Jones? Of course, if a better player comes to the Rockets, Head's minutes will go down. That's the definition of "better player." Hasn't happened yet, though. And what makes you think another NBA team doesn't want to give a perimeter guy who can shoot 44% from 3pt land twenty minutes per. you may hate him, but don't devalue him. Remember, many here thought Mobley wasn't worth 30 minutes, but something like 6 different coaches on 4 different teams disagree.
Hey partner, don't put words in my mouth please. I never said i hated him and never implied such a thought. It would be great if other teams want to give him 20+ per game, couldn't be more happy for him. Unfortunately, the Rockets need more out of their back-up SG than shooting the three. Don't over-value him neither. I never figured Mobley would be undervalued since he was and still is a good SG. I wouldn't mind reuniting Yao & Francis with Cat, that would bring it all back.
