    lmfao.

    that was pretty good.

p.s. careful calling people out on chickenschit/cowardice, as you reside in a glass house on that one (or is it a mansion, amirite?)

Sorry to hear and that's some bull**** and you don't really have any recourse in that. Anybody that can bill insurance companies for their services usually inflates their prices 20 to 30% or more whether it be a doctor or a commerical roofer after a storm. The doctors can charge whatever they want because they know some form of insurance is paying for it where as if it wasn't, they'd have to have a price listed for their services and stick to it as if you were going to pay out of pocket.

And again you are injecting opinion into your analysis. Apparently you don't seem to understand the term "objectively."

They called me back today and said it was an error by the insurance company and i don't owe anything. I am not sure how the insurance company made an error since they are still paying the same amount but as long as I don't owe anything i'm happy.

Costs are out of control. I wonder who makes the lion share of the money. Is it the medical supply companies. Is it the insurance companies. Obviously pharma...but I wonder what percentage of health spend goes to each bucket.

I agree with you that everything you said should be addressed but since they weren't I don't thinks that qualifies this past Congress as a failure. As I have noted before first term presidents usually only get a handful of major legislative accomplishments and in many ways Congresses are the same too. Again objectively, a term that few seem to understand, this Congress was anything but a failure given the amount of legislation passed. Subjectively you can debate about the value of legislation that this Congress passed but the amount passed is a fact.

For those arguing that productivity doesn't equal legislation passed keep in mind there is a reason why Congress is called the Legislative Branch. If you are saying some of the stuff shouldn't be passed that is a different discussion.

Considering Obama campaigned on ending tax cuts to those making over $250K I'm not sure why they would regret that vote except that he didn't end those tax cuts.

Some good points. Just addressing the issue of selfishness I think the key is enlightened self-interest. I think even the most liberal poster here would still like to keep more of their money in their paycheck but they view increased taxes as something that will still benefit them. For instance consider insurance. While I hate paying insurance it is in my own self-interests to pay it in case something bad happens to me. At the same time with taxes as a user of the commons and other things in the public sphere it benefits me to pay them.

OP here is a real piece of work, he truly believes quantity over quality matters when in comes to Obama's agenda and legislation. The only problem is that the Democrats were slaughtered for supporting every major Obama agenda item. Many Democrats completely ran away from the healthcare and stimulus bills during the elections. I know many good leftist foot soldiers here don't mind losing an election over pure ideology and what they perceived as a "once-in-a-lifetime" chance to get their wishlist fulfilled. However, the drift is getting bigger in the Democrats ranks between those who blindly follow the Obama agenda and those who want to remain a viable party into the next elections cycle. That's why you see all the nonsense about GOP "taking hostages" when in fact the President has eroded much of his support among his own party members. You still have Pelosi and Reid leading with the herd mentality and living in complete denial as to what the American people think of the job they have done.
