its the weekend, i cant do anything on a weekend, especially a holiday. Tomorrow it begins, plus I applied for unemployment yesterday morning. so cut me some slack. thanks for the luck though, i'll need it.
Sure does. Do it. I applied for food stamps when I was eligible and needed it.. Don't let embarassment cheat you out of your right. That assumes you were a real employee with a real employer who took out unemployment tax as required etc., which is usually the case.

Since they have so many unemployment problems, like any other insurance, their rates go up if they constantly have claims filed against them due to their business instability, grouchiness or whatever. Even then I would not worry about it. Those types of jobs are not worth worrying about or even worth applying for unless viewed BY YOU as temporary jobs to pick up cash prior to quitting for your next real job.
Same s*** happened to me today. It wasn't over the phone, but it doesn't suck any less. This was my second tour with this company over the last 7 years. S***ty thing about it is, there is no legit reason that I've been given. At this point, I really don't care. It was probably time to move on. I'm having a drink. I'm going to enjoy the time off this week...maybe go play golf with a fellow unemployee from the same company. I'll start fresh on Monday.
I feel ya dude, keep your head up. I sent my resume to I don't know how many places today on Monster. Now....we wait.
