Cliff's notes of how this thread will go: Most people will be able to simply give their support. Someone will be unable to resist making a political comment. Someone will then be able to resist responding with a contrary comment of their own. This thread spawns off into D&D land. --- Hope I'm wrong. I hope things will work out for your family. Let us know if there's anything else we can do...
How ironic. I could've predicted someone would've given a prediction on how he thought a thread would go. Your wife is in my thoughts and you know everyone is behind you.
I'm really sorry. I hope everything works out for you and your wife. Fight for what you feel is right to get the help you need. Thoughts and prayers
I would make every effort to get her the best of care. If anyone makes some d-bag comments I hope we can just delete them instead of move this thread.
I don't know if your insurance plan just has an issue with MD Anderson and does or does not allow for other providers but if they do, you might want to try Texas Oncology. Texas Oncology
Very sorry to hear that and best of luck to you and your wife with trying to work out things with your insurance company.
Health care is definitely one of the biggest flaws in the American system, I'm sending out my best wishes to your wife.
Your wife's blog says she already had the lumpectomy done and they removed 2 lymph nodes. I'm just a stupid medical student, but i thought sarcomas spread by blood and not lymph. Can someone tell me why they did took out 2 lymph nodes? Also if you don't mind me asking what kind of sarcoma is it and what is the follow up?
She should consider switching to a whole foods, plant-based diet. This type of diet has been shown to improve the chances of beating cancer. More information can be found in the book, The China Study.
I am going guess that is really expensive. Plus I don't now if the hospital would want to take that liability.
My prayers are with you and your fam. Many of us on this board, myself included, are still battling cancer. I hope for a quick resolve to your struggle. Much love your way.
