    What is the conservative fascination with this so-called cancel culture and blaming it on liberals? My goodness. Conservatives are the architects of cancel culture. Just ask the Dixie Chicks. Of course then it wasn't called cancel culture, it was called exercising your 1st amendment rights and deciding how you wanted to spend your hard earned money. There's always word play.

    Here's the thing, nations weren't built on NON VIOLENCE, it is usually pretty bloody with war and lots of death.
    Do we cancel all the Spanish conquistadors?
    Nobody back then was peaceful, even the native americans weren't the most peaceful people, they had wars as well.


    This strive for perfect morality is impossible for any human being, therefore any statue of anything will offend someone.

    Yes Guy Fieri never killed a whole bunch of people, but he wasn't an important historical figure.

    Yes the Spanish were bad, but they made everyone Christian. You can argue if that's good or bad.

    when does comedy go too far? Does that prove that he hates African Americans?

    I don't think so. But I get why people were offended. Is he the same dude he was 10 years ago? No.
    Should he be punished for stuff that an entire network and show staff agreed to?

    It's not hard to find mistakes in people's lives because people are not perfect.

    Changing this city's name isn't going to stop racism

    In fact, changing every little material and carbon based object to a name that will not offend everyone will accomplish nothing

    People going back and researching 'Oh damn, he wasn't a nice person'

    that's EVERYBODY WHO DID ANYTHING the last 1000 years

    Orange County were big Reaganists up to the 90s when Asians and Latinx swarmed in.

    It would probably stay red if the national leadership held close to their principles instead of turning the platform into a Whites only culture of "non-Protected" victims.
