I didn't vote for the guy, but I thought it was an interesting contrast to what's happening around the world.

Canada has been the victim of terrorist attacks, most notably an attack on the Parliament (the equivalent of Congress). The country has decided to accept 25,000 Syrian refugees, and pull out from ISIS airstrikes.

Canada has also resettled tens of thousands of refugees over the last decade without any major incidents.

I am glad that the Prime Minister is personally greeting and showing support for these victims of ISIS. I would hope that more Americans can welcome and support the victims of ISIS who have lost their livelihoods, homes, and possibly friends and family members to ISIS fanatical terrorism.

I think we should all support the victims and not repeat the ugly mistakes of our past when Jewish refugees were turned away from the U.S. and sent back to the holocaust.

Let's hope that some folks can not make a similar mistake and repeat that ugly tarnish on the United States.

I would have voted for the Greens, but the NDP was facing a narrow race vs the Liberals in my riding, and I wanted to make sure the Conservatives didn't take it.

    so i voted for

I can see more people moving to Canada from the US. Less crime, better quality of life, more progressive government, and more freedom.

Won't stay that way long if more people from the US move there.

    too many things to name

I think everyone that lives in Toronto hates Toronto, and everyone else in Canada hates it as well.

For me personally I think everything inferior compared to Vancouver.

Weather, cost of living, and the poster Macbeth I think.

I would give Vancouver a try or Halifax. That's about it though.

    Qui dit fatigue dit réveil
    Encore sourd de la veille
Alors on sort pour oublier tous les problèmes
Alors on danse, alors on danse, alors on danse

(though I'm moving to the Bay Area soon, so maybe I'm a bad example lol)

Canada will trade you the remnants of Stephen Harper for Ted Cruz ;)

honestly, Calgary and the Canadian Prairies should just merge with Texas, and the Eastern Canadian seaboard should merge with New England and then Vancouver and BC with Cali + Oregon. things would be nicer then

Canada has at least 10 Muslim members of Parliament thanks to the latest election, including several Muslim women.

    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/22/canada-new-parliament-most-diverse-ever

This is in contrast with the House of Representatives, which has only had two members that were Muslim...ever.
