Because Canaan is a one trick pony , if he's not shooting the lights out , he's hurting you elsewhere while Johnson is a more well rounded player even though he needs to work on his 3 point shooting. The player Johnson most reminds me of in terms of skill set - Courtney Lee.
Our Johnson is smaller than other Johnsons in comparison but can really move and has good agility. As long as Johnson keeps penetrating and attacking the walls of the defense, he'll be able to be effective and bring defenses to their knees. Maybe even get free and explode on a backdoor play. Let's hope. That being said, I like the size and penetration of Cannan better. He has the strength and girth to be more dependable.
