I've never dated a girl who could cook worth a sh*t.

My wife's a good cook. Good thing too since I never learned. Lived at home until college. Stayed at apartment with my bro in college and he knew how to cook. Moved back home for a bit after college and then got married.
So I'm worthless in the kitchen. Was boiling some water one time for eggs and forgot and nearly burned down the kitchen. So yes, I burned water. :(

My wife is not a great cook, but she definitely isn't a bad one, she loves to do it, and with my diabetes, has taken charge of cooking the right things for me.

So now matter if the food is good or bad, I eat it with a smile. :)

Mine is pretty good, but just too busy to cook. :(

I'm not bad myself either. I like cooking, but I like being lazy more. Just end up going to my mommys place and picking up some food for me and the wifey.

Single at the moment (don't really have the time for a girlfriend, honestly), but the last girl I dated was a sensational cook -- she's nearly as good as my mom, and my mom is so good she has quite a reputation among my friends. Not being able to cook would be a significant minus for me in a girl -- she would have to really make up for it in hotness and personality or something. I can cook for myself, and thanks to my mom/sister I'm pretty good at it myself.

But I just don't like to cook -- the kitchen is not my happy place. If my woman can't hold her own in the kitchen, that's a problem. I guess I'm too old-fashioned.

I might be wrong on this, but I don't think water can burn beyond its boiling point.

I think I cook more and usually make more advanced stuff, but my gf surprised me and made me dinner for my birthday. So it happens, but I cook 4/5 times. On the other hand, she's busting her ass in Med school, so she gets a free pass in not being able to cook if she 1) saves some lives 2) makes $$$ (in no particular order)

my last serious gf could not cook worth a lick unfortunately. the only time she tried is when her granny forced her to. i was a better cook than she was which upset her since every time i was over at her folks place i would help her mom out better than she could.

my mom taught me well at an early age i remember her telling me, "you better learn how to cook on your own since these american born girls cant do anything in the kitchen"

You know, girls nowadays just don't cook...They probably never needed to before and only when their asked to repeatedley do they step up...It's not like the old day when it was expected... :D

I'd rather have a girl with a career then a girl who can cook. Of course I'm only 17 so I'd actually rather have a girl with a pretty face and a nice body then one with a brain. :D :D

Had chili braised with Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre last night. Ho hum.

    I own this board.

More men know how to cook these days than women. That is just stupid. Eating is mandetory ...how the heck do you get to be an adult and not know how to cook? That goes for men and women.

    LOL!

Actually, I cooked for myself and my girlfriend both lunch for the game today and dinner tonight. I guess I get the cooking gene from both my parents. I hate cooking for myself though. So boring to cook for one person.

I'm a pretty good cook myself, but my wife is an EXCEPTIONAL cook.

Cooking is something that she really enjoys and I will often help during preparation, but it's usually her show. But in a pinch, I can still fill in and do an admirable job.
