No, I am pretty sure everyone can touch their toes if that is the case. I guess clutchfans is pretty flexible based on this poll.
I don't believe this poll is accurate, 51-10? No way, probably at least half of people bending their knees a tiny bit.
I've always been silly limber; I can place my palms on the ground next to my feet without bending my knees.
I can't. I have long legs and short t-rex arms. Used to get picked on in school cause everyone was touching their toes but me. But when basketball time came, those same mockers were getting buckets drained in their face.
I'm obese and I can touch my toes without bending my knees. If I work at it a bit, I can touch my palms. I don't think this is a good indicator of what kind of shape you're in. I'm in heart attack any day kind of shape for my age.
Quicker releases, and the ability to dribble low WITH a low center of gravity. Pistol Pete used to dribble the same way. Makes it much easier to get inside amongst the tree's.
Also, I used to play basketball in blue jeans all the time at the park, which helps get the low center of gravity while dribbling down. With pants full of sweat, it can really weigh you down.
1. Do some soft tissue work on your hamstrings/glutes.. You can use a foam roller, any decent gym will have a set. 2. Stretch your hamstrings 3. Do some glute work, whether that's a bridge or some clamshells with a band or whatever you choose, make sure your butt is doing the job it is supposed to. There are many many people who stretch everyday and will never touch their toes because their hamstrings are doing way too much work. You could spend about 10 minutes doing that and probably touch your toes right after.
