you made a comment about my "anger issue" and called me a toolbag while hiding behind a semantics argument.

btw, my mind is currently swimming with thoughts of the #2 team in the country of which i am a diehard fan, so i'm clearly having a great day. maybe you should focus your energy on this current upswing for uh football...you never know, vandy or stanford or some other **** team in a real conference (no offense madmax) may come calling in the offseason and sumlin goes bye bye. :)

    Oh. My. God.

You guys should take a break from insulting each other for a minute and watch this video. That's some of the worst defense I've ever seen. It made the Texans D look like the 78 Steelers.

Seriously, at about the 0.30 second mark, it actually looks like they're playing basketball defense instead of football defense. I was waiting for the ref to call a foul.

Luckily, I don't really care much about college football, except when wondering who the Texans may draft.

I didn't realize there were so many rules to being a college football fan.

Otherwise, my entire paradigm of rooting for a team because I like them would be shattered.

Same here, I just like watching College Football like its minor league NFL. I have little rooting interest.

It may be minor league, but winning a championship in college football, (an undisputed title, not the BS that Florida was given in 2008,) means just as much as a title in the nba, nfl, mlb.

That is where college football is a Major Sport.

Oh I don't doubt the legitimacy of College Football as a major sport at all, I just don't have a vested interest in it... so I find myself able to enjoy the games more since I'm not nervous about the outcome.

    lol

The announcer there reminded me of Gene P:

Leavell over to Wiggins. Holds it. Dribbles around the top of the circle looking for Rodney Mac. Over to Mac who looks into Sampson, top of the key. Sampson doesn't have a shot so he kicks it back out to Wiggins in the coffin corner. Wiggins looks to Dream inside. Can't get it in, cross court to Leavell just inside the 3 pt arc. Leavell fakes, takes the drive into the lane and back over to McCray. Rodney is doubled so he kicks into Dream. Dream into the lane but has his path blocked by Eaton. Dream kicks it out to Sampson. Sampson holds it, looks back to Dream, can't find him. Back over to Wiggins. Wiggins has a lane, knifes through, over to Dream, SLAM DUNK AKEEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think so, definitely.

I graduated from Texas A&M, so I am definitely a huge A&M football fan. My dad is from Ohio, though, and most of my family is hardcore Buckeye, so I consider myself a Buckeye fan (have been a long time).

I also think its awesome how I consider myself a fan of two of the most likely to be picked on teams.

    So stupid. Why?

You are raised to like the Cowboys, why does that make you less of a fan than someone who lives in Dallas?

I think people can root for whoever they want. However, I don't think you can "trash talk" or "rub it in" unless you actually actually went to the school...just seems like bad form.

I think the "i prefer Pro Sports" fans went to colleges with bad sports teams or no sports teams at all.

If someone went to Duke, they probably would turn into a Duke basketball fan.
If someone went to North Texas, I doubt they would care about their basketball team and watch a pro team instead.

My father was also from Ohio, I think we had Hawkeye tickets so that he could see the Buckeyes play once every other year. The result was raising me around rabid Iowa fans and his grandson being named for a Hawkeye great. :D

He is retired now and makes furniture in his woodshop. Every piece he has ever made for us has "Go Buckeyes" hidden in it somewhere.
