I couldn't care less about Yao getting the starter position or not. He never does anything entertaining in the all star game anyway.
wtf? and please, don't talk about something like "asian brothers," jumping for joy"... it's embarassing and sounds r****ded.
i think Yao will get the starting center position again. hundreds of thousands of chinese youthes will vote for him. and Yao is still an idle in America. His dillegence, modesty, lifestyle and other merits fascinate many Americans and American media. He can also bring positive image of NBA to the world.
the only brainless person here is you because your brain can't seem to comprehend that people can and will make off-topic posts at times and there's nothing wrong with that.
Wrong. In the year yao won over shaq by the smallest margin, yes yao did win the paper ballot, and shaq did win the internet vote, but from that you cannot conclude that yao would have won without china. Since there is no doubt in my mind more chinese voted for yao than shaq, if china was excluded from voting shaq would have likely won the internet vote by a much larger margin. Also the number of internet votes is going to be greater than paper ballots as anyone can vote online but only those that attend games can vote on the paper ballot. Look no further than those years that stevie and mac are voted starters despite their performance. Yao is the all time top single season vote getter in 2005 despite not even being a top 10 player that season, not mention how unexciting he is to watch. As a rockets fan I like the fact they are voted in, but to deny the influence of the chinese vote illogical.
Yao is automatic. Duncan doesn't hold a candle to Yao in terms of popularity. It has more to do with Duncan's boring style and less than scintillating personality. The All-Star game after all is a popularity contest and has really very little to do with basketball.
What? It's nothing wrong because fools did that sometimes? ROFL This post is r****ded on so many different levels and once again prove that you brainless.
UPDATE: Tim Duncan has been moved to forward on the All-Star ballot. http://www.nba.com/nba_news/duncan_ballot.html
