LOL, so true ... haven't really paid attention to the stats of these two.

This is probably more of a dismay to YOHs than a relief to Yao fans.

Right on bro. Who gives a flip? I guess it adds spice to All-Star game discussions because the voting seems like a bigger event than the game, which I stopped watching over 10 years ago.

I think Yao should get the nod at center over either of them, but I don't know if they're "badly" struggling. They haven't had to play a lot of minutes early on.

I will vote Amare over Yao and Duncan. At least I can see him put up couple high flying dunks.

All star game is a show and I don't see Yao and Duncan being good entertainers, their playing style is just boring.

Chinese fans love to vote Yao in because they want to Yao to represent China. But I doubt how many of us truely enjoy his style of play.

yes, but at this rate, yao will probably lose the title of best center in the nba even on this board. not that yao holds the title outside of houston unanimously.

If Yao is not plagued by injuries, I don't think Yao will continue to slide, although he may still have ups and downs. But if he keeps stinking it up, he'll lose my vote.

he'll start b/c he's the most deserving. duncan is not that great right now (reg. season wise) as he has had just as many poor games as yao.

and amare is having average stats right now.

this is not even a question.

This thread is about the All Star West center. What does D Howard have to do with it? Use your brain.

Is this a joke? Of course Yao is going to start.

And this isn't even about the Chinese voting, because Yao beats out all contenders on the paper ballot. And the Chinese internet voting actually doesn't factor that much into the equation.

While I feel that Duncan is the superior player, Yao is most definitely more popular even in the US. IIRC, he has some of the highest vote counts in all-star voting history.

I agree it's not the first time. And people like you who did that need to use your brain. That's my point.

Americans don't like us Asians, so that's why they listed Tim Duncan at center. This country doesn't like us Asians to be proud and jumping for joy when one of our own Asian brother is succeeding in a sport that's dominated by Americans. The NBA just wanna take away Yao's votes, even if it means listing Tim Duncan, a power forward, at center.

Hopefully Yao will be the starter. Duncan is NOT a center so therefore he doesn't deserved to be voted in as a center. Amare' is not a center either.
