He is currently at 19.7 ppg and 9.7 rpg. Can he officially get to a 20-10 avg before the season is over?

He's technically already 20-10.. but yeah I mean he can get it if he continues to play at this high level he's playing at right now.

Since these statistics are averaged over many games it would be near impossible for him to average exactly 20 points and 10 rebounds for the season.

Under current system with similar minutes, and having AB as starting PG, Scola as starting PF, the answer is NO.

im gonna say he wont do it this season.

scola has been taking a lot of rebounds from yao and the offense has been pretty evenly distributed since tmac's departure.

According to Excel, he would have to average 21.09pts and 11.09 rebs per game for the remaining 17 games for him to achieve the official "20/10" status.

Yao has trouble rebounding against teams with players that take him away from the basket and Scola is an excellent rebounder, not good....but GREAT....

So I think Yao is right where he is gonna be on rebounding....I do think he can get to 20ppg though.

No he wont...not aggressive enough on the boards. As far as points doubt it because Yao doesnt aim to totally demolish opponents plus the stamina issues hinder his minutes.

Who cares....ITS ALL ABOUT WINS NOT PERSONAL STATS

As long as the team wins, I don't care about individual player's stats. I've seen too many times when a player scored over 40 points, his team lost that game - Iverson is a typical example.

As for Yao, I wish he can average 4 Assists per game this season. When that happends, Rox must be very good in playoff games.

    I see you do.
You're probably one of those people who would rather see Yao average 30 but us lose, just like some of the TMaccers who would with TMac.

as long as he is closer to 20 than 19 and closer to 10 than 9 I'm happy :D

Big question is will Yao reach 2 blks per game, he'll have to average around 2.3 for the remaining games to reach that.

yao 30 and a loss do not have any correlations. on the contrary, we have some #'s suggesting when yao scores 30 we almost always win. lol.

and you're wrong. i wasn't one of those who looks at the stats too often. i was just responding to a member here who obviously does not like yao.
