hold on, i dunno anythign about you. im just joking about klay and someone thought i was you. some of yall dont get the joke
He won me over after a long drawn out first month that resembled an old rusty catheter. I trust he will be ready to go and will not resemble the peanut brittle bar of year's past. If you have enough fissures, it's builds up an icy crust that acts as a shield.
If he plays in 70 games this year I will be happy. I won't act like I am not a little disappointed in these silly injuries though.
I don't think anybody in this thread has been in disagreement. No, you can't feel good relying on him. But we don't have any choice, b/c you can't get healthy EG production for EG current $ with anybody else. Just gotta do whatever you can to keep EG healthy when we most need him. Good thread though, because I have felt this is the biggest risk to the team's success since when the team first started looking good. Like rolling the dice on EG's health unfortunately. I like Cashmoney's suggestion of getting somebody competent to plug in & resting EG more.
I looked over at the bench and I don't see Harden anywhere. LOL. He went to the back to grab a snack.
This is why rather fixating on a big guy we should get another big time scorer, preferably at SF. Nene Harrell and Capela cna get it done at C, we need more perimeter scorers.
My boy Eric Gordon is not hurt, or injured at all. He is just dealing with a little soreness. They are taking good care of him until after the all star break is where he will play, and I'm fine with that.
O'Antoni is even saying in the postgame that they expected Phoenix to be exhausted from getting in at 4 a.m. Hopefully precautionary
Yeah, we could be resigned to this. Play a few games entering the playoffs, so he's not completely rusty.
I would rest him for the Heat game and get him ready for post all star break. We have only one game in the next two weeks that should help him get healthy.
Well IMHO here is the list of needs: 1. Dynamic perimeter scorer ala Eric Gordon. Preferably at SF spot because Ariza is either really hot or really bad nowadays. 2. Backup pg, to help when Harden is shooting 30% 3. Traditional big man, to help against bad matchups like Grizzlies, SaS, Utah or Atlanta. I think having the perimeter scorer should be the biggest priority, we can "outgun" most teams out of the gate but lately fall behind in the 3rd quarter when fatigue sets in. IMHO this is just due to Harden and Gordon having to carry the offensive load, if we had another deadly scorer everyone's legs will be fresher.
we need another scoring guard as insurance, but most importantly we first must address our rim protection by adding a big center.
Ever heard of the phrase if you just work on your weaknesses you will just be mediocre but if you work on your strengths you will be exceptional? Another scorer isnt insurance, its to upgrade the roster that is so thin Brewer is getting serious minutes each night. Unless you can get a franchise rim protector getting an average big man wont do anything for us because you will always have Anderson and Harden on defense so unless its somebody like Dwight, goodluck defending the paint when 2/5 guys are mediocre defenders. OTH if we can get a big time scorer the firepower will just overwhelm opponents. So many of our losses are below 8 pts, if we had anothwr capable scorer thise games would be wonn.
