The Rockets have 3 centers with Jake now, we might be able to put 2 on the court at the same time; Jake/Deke in the middle, and let Yao drift out on Okur.

Bad idea. We are barely quick enough (and sometimes are not) with Yao and Howard together. Subbing a player even slower than Howard (Deke/Jake) is going to hurt us more than it helps.

For Utah I'd be concerned with containing Boozer and Williams. I think Hayes & Howard are our choices for the primary man versus Boozer, not sure the best guy versus Williams--whether that is Rafer, Head, Snyder, Tmac or Battier. Not confident in any match-up versus Williams to tell you the truth.

But they have even less of an answer for Tmac and Yao--that is why we should be able to take them.

    Of course we can.

We have Rafer Alston. The MVP.

Okay, in all seriousness, at the end of the day, we have Yao and T-Mac. They have hustle and cheapshots.

Rockets in 6, with at least one game of Yao and T-Mac both scoring 30+.

And do I speak for everyone when I say I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE PLAYOFFS?

    I'm already feeling excited...

Ya i think that i'd rather play Utah than the lakers (if we could get the 3 seed)

Utah just doesnt have the playoff experience, and i doubt Boozer will be playing in the playoffs.

I'd be more worried about getting humiliated by Dallas in the second round. That one could potentially end badly. The Mavs are 51-5 since starting the season 0-4, and 27-2 in 2007.

This is the western conference, its either Dallas, San Antonio or Phoenix in the second round. Frankly i think we play best against dallas, i'd prefer it, i think the team would as well. We obviously dont match up that well against Phoenix, and San Antonio has been rolling lately. I think we can at least take dallas to 6 games if not down to the 4th qtr in game 7.

Yao will be guarding carlos Boozer and he will be taking mid range jumpers to force him to the perimeter. The two keys to beatin Utah is our zone defense and our rebounding if we execute those well we will not only beat Utah we may do it in 4-5 games. ;)

A dirty little secret about Boozer that people often ignore....

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3632/career

He doesn't attack the basket all that often.. look at how many FTs he attempts. His go-to move is the fadeaway J, which he is REALLY REALLY GREAT at.

    2 words: off course.
If the Rockets are healthy we should beat utah in the playoffs. Don't forget T-Mac always plays better in the playoffs, hopefully Yao can get back to his pre-injury form ( and a little better ) within 20 games and off course the rest of the team gotta show hustle, energy, defense and make open shots.

But relative to Okur he is quicker and more of an inside player and draws more fouls. Okur loves the outside J even more than Boozer and the former is a more 1 dimensional offensive player--I think a much easier cover for Yau.

we have a very unusual coincidence here....

our last game of the season is against the jazz before we most likely will face the jazz in the 1st round.

in 95 we faced the jazz in the 1st round as well as playing our last regular season game against the jazz

    to be continued....

We don't match up well against the Jazz and they are good at every position. It 'll be hard for Yao to cover either Okur or Boozer. We match up well the Spurs. But I am not suggesting I'd prefer the Spurs.
