Why would you want him? There is no worse center.

There are probably better options... and there are worse one's, too. If the Rockets got the roster spot to spare, he's not a bad cheap pick up.

    He's Argentinian, and beefy.

i read on yahoo sports that he'll be signing back in SA.

the league needs to close that buyout loophole...its terrible it seems that the spurs are often the beneficiaries of it.

if you get bought out you cant re-sign with the team that originally traded you for a year instead of 30 days.

it would stop a lot of the colluding that is going on that the NBA wants to stop but never does.

I'd rather us try to land some undrafted center or FA then try to land Oberto unless we are desperate for someone else with size.

undrafted centers aren't proven. I mean, wy don't we just play Dorsey if that's the case? He was drafted, he should be better than the undrafted centers.

Ok, so what are the chances of getting Kurt Thomas instead of Oberto? WOuld Spurs also buy him back?

I'm for 2 years - that rule is a crock! I don't think the league wants to stop anything - it just wants you to think they are trying to stop it.

Oberto is fundamentally much more solid than Scola though not so talented... What he lacks in talent he replaces it with intelligence... one of the highest basketball IQ players I've ever seen.

Please quit drinking the Kool-Aid about Oberto. He's not that good, he's going back to the Spurs, and he's really ugly, like Sam Cassell 2.

Think about all the Landry trade rumors... doesn't that make you think Dorsey could be our backup PF/C next year? I think we need a C, but it's not Oberto.

Who else besides Oberto would you guys want? Anyone like Gortat?
