Or you can inspire your team to do better than they would have otherwise.

As McHale said, "Consistency comes with experience." I think Harden, Parsons, and even Asik have been inconsistent this year and its a sign of their youth, new roles, new teammates (club/city) and new system. I think its too early to make a final judgement, another year and see how he performs. I hope he develops the floater like Parker and improves his 3pt% to around 40% and becomes the top 3pt shooter on the team. I think 80%FT, 50%FG, 40%3PT with numbers of 16pt and 8assists will make him a top tier PG in the NBA.

Lin is still promising and his trade value is not high at this moment.
we should give him one more year

Frankly, I still have hopes for Lin.

He has his rough edges, but I feel with better coaching, he could be a real prospect. Sadly, I don't see that happening with McHale and company. The coaches here pretty much seem to only give Harden, Parsons and Delfino a lot of rope to work with, everyone else they are quick to bench or unwilling to run plays that feature them in with consistently. Blame it on experience or whatever, the fact is I just don't feel we've gotten a good sample of Lin as a PG and same with most of our young PFs.

    Lin is fine.

If our pg is cp3 and after seeing his game 3 and 4 performance, I bet we will see a thread on how garbage cp3 is should be traded for Nate Robinson for less than 10% of cp3 pays

Told everyone that listened Lin can't be our starting pg. letting Dragic go was a mistake!

Lin performed exactly like I expected, an average starting PG. I never expected him to be a star or put up star like numbers consistently (an average starting PG is expected to put up star like numbers every once in a while)

Perfect year for Lin. Showed flashes, showed inexperience. Gave the coaches and himself a solid foundation to work on in the off season. This offseason is how Lin will be measured. Will he work his butt off and work on his handles, decision making and jump shot every day? Or will he be spending his time making Volvo commercials and visiting China/Taiwan?

    To be continued.

LOL, begging for a serious discussion by starting an everything but serious thread:)

PGs for championship teams normally don't do much at all, and most of them are not even capable of doing much. But hey, let's judge Lin or whoever by his first ever playoff game against Top seed and his second and third game after injury.

You could have save all those words, by saying you don't want Lin on the team, it would be more reasonable and convincing. Although you don't really have a say.

If we can trade Lin to get any top 10 player at any position, I am all for it. Now, let's hear that "serious" discussion.

He only had his right arm in a sling. He could've used his left.

His left hand has been pretty good this year. During Summer he worked on left-handed drives, lay-ups, and passing.

It seems that one thing the LOH's and LOF's share in common is expecting way too much out of this kid. LOF think Lin is superstar who is being held back, and LOH complain about the fact that he hasn't lived up to the same lofty expectations.

He does a solid job running the offense and he and Beverly make a very good combination at point guard because it gives us two very contrasting styles of play. Lin will match up better against some teams and Bev against others.

    I think that's enough

The interview with his shooting coach mentioned: floater, confidence and quick catch and shoot on 3pt, right foot dunk and two-foot dunk from standing start. Those were the specifics mentioned for this offseason but I'm sure there has to be more. I'd like to see the tear-drop like curry and a few shake n bake moves.

And that's simply it. Clutch needs to start each GT with this post and maybe it'll save the played out arguments.

I mean we've been having the same damn discussion for 6 months now and these morons never get bored.

We've got all the time in the world to watch this team develop. Lin has huge issues with his game, but pg is the hardest position to learn in the nba. He's a smart kid with no ego- hr will develop into an above average qb... I mean pg.

The new development is his play during the playoffs. Every player is under the microscope right now, and Jeremy Lin should be too. Especially with how inconsistent his season has been.

    > First game(s) of his playoff career
    > Playing against Russell Westbrook and veteran Derek Fisher
    > Penetration is cut off by great defenders in Perkins and Ibaka
    > Playing in the most hostile enviroment in the NBA
    > Knowing that he's playing the best team in the WC

You're being ridiculous, when you consider all the factors in play.

Finally someone who is reasonable. He does do a solid job running the offense.
