For what it's worth, the players would tell you they don't even hear the music, except maybe during layup drills when they're first warming up.

The music needs to be about the fans. They're the ones paying to be there.

Also, when we poll our fans, they're pretty evenly split between classic rock, modern rock, and hip hop, with slightly more fans inclined towards classic rock than any other genre. You should hear that split reflected in our music selection.

And whoever mentioned that the play list needs to be freshened up -- no argument here. It was one of the points covered in our post-game meeting this morning. We were very focused on learning how the scoreboards worked in a game situation, even without our full graphics package on-line yet. (The control room just got finished last week; we're still working the kinks out of the system.) As a result, music selection wasn't a big focus for the first game. You'll see that change.

He's still doing that? I went to a frat party my freshman year at UT in 1996 and he was the headlining performer.

Must be making nice coin doing that.

OK, you really are junior, huh?

    It's the Monkees.

I'm not even old enough to have heard their stuff when it was introduced on the radio.

    Tim,

That's great! It's not like I go to the games to listen to the music but it has been a running joke with my friends whenever we go to games. Thanks for the great news. :D
