There is a reason you are back to a rookie, like... not understanding a plain, simple, straightforward fact?

Do you even know any Pistons fans!? Larry Brown left and Darko was still buried on the bench, by Flip Saunders of all people. It's not Larry Brown's fault he was on the bench, he just isn't better than Big Ben, Sheed, and McDyess. He just got traded to Orlando last Feb when he had no competition in the line-up and easily cracked the rotation.

They were only happy because of his strict ways. Players don't like him. Many players are happy when he leaves(76ers, Knicks). But you always hear players saying they love to play for JVG.

People also thought the world was gonna end in 2000.

He understands the plain, simple, straightforward fact that Vspan is not 1/3 as good as you dudes make it seem.

I think V-Span should probaby just shut the f*ck up and stop being a whiny b*tch. He is a rookie and isn't ready for significant minutes yet.

That being said, JVG should at least play him in garbage time.

Van Gundy is the wrong coach to get hard headed with.

VSpan has made a good case, but he would be better off trying to work it out instead of challenging one of the most competitive coaches ever.

Was kind of joking at the Ziggy dude, but then I don't take your words as offense either. I never said or even imply that Vspan IS good. I only believe he is got some potential and should be given some play time to develop (into a good one or bust, instead of sticking to the bench). So far not a single post from me even suggests Vspan is good, ready, or better than Alston as a whole package. We may have different opinions for this guy but your judgement toward me is off, now only if your judgement toward Bill is wrong again, :)

Believe me, if the guy somehow cracks the rotation, I wanna be as wrong about him as possible, cause if I'm right, we ain't winning.

As for the word "again". He hasn't done anything to prove me wrong in the first place.

Luther is shooting the 3 well which he already did in college. The rest of his college game is wrapped up in a plastic bag and sitting in his locker. He has already been scheduled by JVG for another dunk during the April Portland game. :D

3 spent time in the nbadl and summer league and probably being coached by his own father. If he ever plays sig time at the point our team O and our D will suffer due to his personal O emphasis and his lack of D size.

MJ was an improving player who couldn't get much time or keep his coaches happy with the Pistons and the Bucks, and then lost JVG's confidence in running the point and was traded for Rafer. He was hungry while he was here.

Since Panthanaikos just lost their own McGrady, we should trade McGrady to Panthanaikos in return for Pantha's Euro superstars Mike Batiste and Tony Delk, who would run circles around their american counterparts since they play FIBA rules now.

the fact that you're a big enough moron to want to can our head coach in favor of a 2nd round, european backup PG speaks volumes.

I do think that the bigger question is front office vs. JVG. Meaning the front office thought of V-Span as a hell of a player and someone who can contribute. JVG has really not given him a chance. How is that going to end? I am not saying V-Span is an all-star or anything, but obviously the front office is high on him. You don't create in-game entertainment based on a player that you don't think will be playing.

I think V-Span gets more playing time in the near future and JVG eats a little crow.

Insightful post. In game entertainment. Oh how JVG must hate it. Damage control plan is not working Jeff.

Wow this poll is quite amazing. It's almost split between coexisting and not but it's 3 to 1 wanting JVG deported. 75% want Van Gundy gone before Spanoulis. Amazing... Even I would have to say JVG is doing a decent job this year what with the defense playing so well and injuries and stuff. But still the masses would choose an unproven rookie over the head coach.

I really hope they can make it work. I love JVG as a coach. I love the potential V-Span has. I really don't wanna see Billy end up doing good for another team before the Rockets give him a fair chance, but if one has to go, I'd wanna keep Van Gundy.

I don't understand your logic. The first two options are for JVG staying...only 35% want him gone (within the confines of the poll).

It's quite simple Rimbaud of the people who think they can not co-exist and think 1 of them should be sent packing 75% think it should be Jeff Van Dummy. Is that clear. Of course you'll say no. But my point is even I wouldn't have expected this board to choose to Deport JVG over Vspan 3-1. I am surprised at those numbers, aren't you.
