We need some colors: 3/25 08:00pm at NOH (FxSW) 3/27 01:00pm at SAS (ABC) 3/28 09:00pm at UTA (FxSW) 3/30 10:00pm at POR (KNWS) 4/01 08:30pm vs NOH (FxSW) 4/03 08:30pm vs PHO (FxSW) 4/05 10:30pm at GSW (FxSW) 4/07 10:30pm at LAL (TNT) 4/09 10:00pm at PHO (FxSW) 4/11 10:00pm at SEA (FxSW) 4/13 08:30pm vs MEM (KNWS) 4/16 07:30pm vs DEN (ESPN) 4/18 08:30pm vs LAC (FxSW) 4/20 08:30pm vs SEA (KNWS)
It's been 10 years and the memory may be fading, but I beleive the 1995 Rockets end the season against the Jazz at The Summit. The Rockets then got to go to Utah to open the 1st round against the Jazz.
We should feel lucky. This year we only lose Sura and Juwan for a short time. Look at the long time injury list, TDuncan, JOneal, Larry Hughs, Casell, Kidd, Jefferson, Randolph, now AZ47. And New Oreans and Dallas play with so many players out. So I would say 10-4 would be reasonable for us. And we already succeded in adjusting ourselves several time. Now I only hope T-mac will be healthy with so long time playing. I still think it's time to think about champ. And Shaq could fall down anytime
That might be a little over-the-top. I see it a bit more realistically; something like: Hornets W Spurs W Jazz L Trailblazers W Hornets W Suns L Warriors W Lakers W Suns W Sonics L Grizzlies W Nuggets L Clippers W Sonics W 10-4 down the stretch to end with a 51-win season, the highest win total in Rockets history, IIRC. I see two letdown games (Jazz & Nugz) before the playoffs ... just enough to keep the Rox humble and JVGollum a little pissed.
Yes !! Well, except for the 90-91 season where they won 52, or the 92-93 season where they won 55, or the 93-94 season where they won 58 (The actual highest)...or the 96-97 team that won 57... Well you get the idea Stats checking is a good thing. DD™
Unless you're talking about someplace else, I think you mean New Braunfels (lots of German influence in that part of the state). That was indeed a sweet day to be a Rockets fan. May 5, 1995 - Clyde Drexler scored a game-high 41 points and Hakeem Olajuwon added 40 to lead Houston to a 123-106 win over visiting Utah in Game 4 of their Western Conference First Round series. It marked the third time in NBA Playoff history that a pair of teammates had scored 40 or more points in the same game. (The Dream was also part of one of the other two sets of 40+ playoff duos - Houston at Dallas, Apr. 30 '88; Sleepy Floyd 42, Akeem (Hakeem?) Olajuwon 41)
Hey, I was at that game. Dream dominated early, but Clyde came on strong late in the game to put the Jazz away. On a side note, that was also the game where Carl Herrera reinjured his shoulder, knocking him out of the playoffs for good.
Good memory. The 94-95 Rox ended @ Utah, @ Seattle and home vs Utah. They lost all three and the first playoff game @ Utah in the best of 5. This time it will be a best of 7.
