Yeah, I guess I'm a Bobcats fan? A Bobcats fan who's watched every Rockets game and been to a lot of them? I guess?

So there's no argument from you that there are 5 (by your count) East teams better than us from you? Yet there are at least 5 West teams better than us. So that makes us #11 by your logic AKA not top 10 (which was the whole discussion to begin with). Are you ****ing delirious while posting?

I won't take it any further, but you said we were clearly a top 10 team, and then when I come back saying it's not so clear, you say there are 5 East teams better than us. Are we 4th in the West in your mind?

You must be a bit mental to believe we're better without PPat right now... I'll leave it at that. I think most people would agree with me.

    Ditto.

Stop the b****assness and/or stop the trolling.

Apparently because he is Carl Herrera, he can get away with it.

Take it to the Sacramento Kings board.

If they beat the Jazz tonight then I think they are definitly in, if not 50/50, IMO.

I see your problem is reading comprehension. I never said there are 5 East teams better than the Rockets.

Lol. Is this supposed to substitute for a legitimate argument? "I think most people would agree with me"? Might as well concede to being out of your element if that's what you have to resort to.

Haha, I just assumed you meant there is no question that those teams are better, because there is clearly an argument to be made (especially by people at large - see random person's Power Rankings anywhere)... You actually think we are head-and-shoulders above the Celtics, Hawks, Nets, and Bulls? So the only 3 teams in the East that are a better team are the Knicks, Indiana and the Heat?

I judge how "good" you are relative to other teams by if your record and if you'd win in a playoffs series based on what I've watched that year. We would not beat the Celtics in the playoffs. We would probably lose to the Nets. And I'd give us the edge on the Bulls/Hawks.

Even if you believe that there are only 3 teams in the East better than us (I count 4 or 5), there is still something to be said about the West, where there are 5 clearly better teams. The Lakers, Warriors, and Jazz are all close-ish to us, and depending how the year turns out, we could be the 6th or 9th best team in the West.

So you'd put us at 9 (5 from West, 3 from East) and somehow you think it's clear that we're a top 10 team?

Well, if CH hasn't taken the bet now, you probably should raise it to 30-1 odds. Because it would really take an epic meltdown for them to be out of the playoffs now.

CH would never bet against the rockets. I would never do it either, no matter how good the odds are.

He makes us a little bit better. The difference between a championship and no championship? No way.

Lospolloshermanos making some great points in this thread. The Patrick Patterson for Thomas Robinson trade was poor GM'ing based on so many different factors. Too much X and Y thinking by Morey and not enough consideration on the importance of team chemistry & dynamics, the franchise's recent history etc.

Patterson was a great locker-room presence and was still growing whilst here. Sure he didn't have a tremendous ceiling but he was still a valuable rotational player and important on THIS team. On top of that Douglas was useful. We got rid of three arguably four rotational guys and got Robinson in return who is looking like an epic bust.

The Rockets were looking to shape into great form just before the trade went down. I can only imagine how much better we'd be had we not lost four rotational players and had a serviceable PF logging minutes for us right now.

Looking towards next season hopefully D-Mo could have developed into our starting PF and Patterson would have been great as a third rotational big.

If the Rockets get another All-star out of this trade it will be more than worth it.

Patterson and Douglas were not in the long term future of this team. It's time to accept that.

HadToDoItCF: It seems you're still having trouble reading. I never said the Knicks were better than the Rockets. I said those other mediocre Eastern teams have no argument that they're better. Notice the difference.

Try reading posts three times over before responding. Maybe that'll help.
