Im sitting here watching the Celtics/Mavericks game. Im thinking if Nash ever decided to grow a beard, he would look like Luke Wilson in the The Royal Tennenbaums.

Lakers, Houston and Seattle historically own Dallas.

I think you need to do your homework. The Mavs went 3-1 against Seattle last year. They also went 2-2 against Houston and Dirk didn't play in the last Houston win. It doesn't look like Seattle and Houston "owned" Dallas.

Since when has historically meant "last year?"

Ok, so back when none of these current Mavericks players were with the team Houston and Seattle "owned" Dallas.

Damn, looks like I was wrong about New Jersey. Mavs gutted out a tough win tonight on the road in NJ with Nowiztski having a very poor shooting night. They just might break the Rockets record (that is, if they can manage to get past the Rockets :D).

Exactly. But I especially don't want the Mavs to do it. I have this profound hatred for all things Dallas. I despise that city, their sports teams, their stupid skyline, and almost everything else within the vast suburban/quasi-rural wasteland called the Metroplex. So much so, that -- not that this can happen -- I'd even rather see the Spurs or the Jazz do it.

It pains me to see the Mavs having any kind of success -- and Dallas fans having any kind of pleasure. It pains me to see the Mavs playing such smart basketball, and the Rockets playing generally boneheaded basketball. And I'm deeply concerned that the Mavs pulled off a win against a great NJ team in a back-to-back situation.

So it would be really sweet indeed when the Rockets break their streak. I want to see Francis and Cat light those motherf***ers up. I want to see some nasty blocks and slams from Eddie and Yao. I want Mo and Kenny to assert themselves down low. I want Hawk to shut some people down. I want to see Franchise cross and posterize some guys. It's their duty to Houston fans the world over!

Ok, chill out. I've been enjoying the Mavs play this year. They have a good team and I hope they keep it up. They won't go 15-0 because the Rockets are going to beat them buit they will go 15-1.

F*** that, and screw Dallas. I wish them nothing but famine and pestilence. I hope they don't keep it up. But unfortunately they probably will -- hopefully not past the first round though.

Yep, my hatred is irrational, but so what. :)

It's fun and cathartic to spew all this venom towards Dallas. Beating them while breaking their streak would be a nice f*** you which would give me an inordinate amount of pleasure.:D

I definitely think they will lose to the Lakers or to us. With Shaq only coming back against the Bulls, Dallas has a good chance of losing against us. But that's if we don't run our 1-on-1 crap or try our lame streetball methods....

I can't see why not....they are playing very well and setting a tone for the rest of the season to stay on top. I'm kinda jealous........:(

10-0 now.. gotta admit this Mavs team is really gelling together.. now how many years did that take? 4? Looks like we've gotta give ourselves a couple more before we start xpecting the Roxs to play and dominate like Dallas.

I'd like to think that the Rockets would play extra tough against the Mavs since it is the Rockets that hold the 15-0 record...but unfortunately there are no players from that season remaining on the Rockets, so there isn't a sense of preventing them from topping your accomplishment. Hopefully they can turn it up anyway.

Out of the teams left (before reaching the 15th game) I think 3 teams will have the best shot to beat the Mavs.

Of course there's the Rockets. The Rockets always play the Mavs tough, and have an excellent shot to end the streak.

Next is Detroit. After what the Mavs did to them last time they are going to be out for blood. If they can just keep up offensively they will have a shot. Their defense also has to be top notch on that night.

Then there is the Pacers. Next to the Mavs they are probably playing the best ball in the NBA. They are deep, young, and very athletic which are all things the Mavs struggle with.

If the Mavs go 15-0 they could very well end up 17-0 considering that the next two games on the schedule are Chicago, and Toronto.

I think us Rockets will whoop the Mavs...I feel this way since our depth is appearing to be more pronounce in recent games, and Yao is getting better and better. It's great, and can't wait!
