Not to be nitpicky but there are leaguewide records (like the 33 games in a row) and then there are team records (like the Rockets' very own 22 games in a row, 2nd in league history). Not saying that it matters in the big picture of things but IT IS a record, just not a league record. It's a FRANCHISE record. That's the record the OP is referring to. Now, ya'll can go keep arguing about pointless stuff.
You said Rockets record in the initial post so you were totally clear. I understood what you meant so no need to clarify. Some members just don't pay attention to details. On that note, I hope the Clippers don't break the record but if any team did I'd want the Clippers (cuz I live in LA).
Lol that's BS. It's not possible for the Clippers to surpass a Rockets record since they're not rockets. The OP was referring to the overall league record; otherwise what the hell is he/she talking about?
I wasn't referring to the NBA record. I was talking about the Rockets record, which the Clippers are near surpassing. I understand it's a Rockets record, but it is a record nonetheless.
Vainglorious! So if the clips win a championship this year they'll be one away from tying the rockets record. Correct? Man I hope Paul Pierce doesn't break Dream's scoring record. endsarcasm
I think he meant the Rocket's own record, not the NBA all time record. I didn't read it as he meant it that way.
Some members just want to be the first to point out an inaccuracy so they have something worthy to post.
but the rockets win streak was somewhat flukeish even winning 22 straight no one thought that they were legit title contenders. The Clippers are a different story, they are title contenders.
Flukeish or not, Rockets still did win 22 games in the row and if not for injuries, they could have done better. After today's results, we still hold the 2nd best winning streak of all time and Clippers challege for that spot have ended. By the way, i dont think Clippers can be considered title contenders at the moment, they just had a good run and once they hit a slump, it depends how they deal with it. I do expect them to go deep in the playoffs but in the west, i think OKC and SAS is still way ahead of them especially when it comes to playoff time. If they have a bad match up during playoffs, they might even lose in the first round. Yes, im a Rockets fan not a Clippers fan
