LOL. Not a chance in hell. Funny how the Astros bandwagon is always one 5-game winning streak from filling up again.

CAN they?? of course they CAN!!! they just made up 6 games in 6 days. they have now have 6 games to make up 3 games. so yeah..they CAN do it.

but it's not just about them. it's about the cardinals continuing their suckitude. my questions about this more have to do with them than the astros.

but this is a lot of fun watching these games down the stretch!!! just incredible!

    GO 'STROS!!!!

Not a chance. They're still dead, the fork's still stuck in them. It's still over. (But I'll be watching on the edge of my seat.)

no kidding...that starts to weigh on them big time. gripping every at bat...every pitch...waiting for something bad to happen, because nothing's going right. one win stops that, though...you're as good as your next day's starting pitcher. unfortunately they have carpenter on the mound tonight.

if the cardinals lose tonight, it's HUGE. carpenter is really they're only real starter left....if he loses this game, i think it will have a big effect on a team already struggling.

by the way..historically, this would be THE comeback. the phils previously blew a 6.5 game lead to the cards with 12 to play...

but this was a 8.5 game lead with 13 to play.

I'm on the edge of my seat. They would make history, for sure. Someone in baseball has to do what they're trying to do. It's exceedingly rare, and a near impossible task, but why can't it be the Astros?

They can, but they won't, because too many things depend on other teams losing.

Like DD said....too little too late. But it is fun to watch. My Red Sox loving cousin in Boston even sent me an email this morning titled "How Bout Dem Stros!".

I told her it's Texans season.

Yep. If they can't win tonight, it's all downhill from there.

If we win again and they lose tonight, things are going to start looking pretty good.
