Availability is also a skill and C Woods is not better than Draymond. Eric Gordon also gets hurt a lot and has negative advanced numbers.
Again, I'm not arguing about how good that team was, including the bench. They obviously were very, very good or they wouldn't have achieved what they did. I'm arguing against Curry being "surrounded by stars" before Durant. That team was not like some superteams we are seeing, with two or three franchise type players.
but youre acting like its ridiculous to say they had an all time great bench when you struggle to name any that are even comparable Most of the "surrounded by stars" complaints did not come until they got kd. They only won 1 championship before then and against an injured cavs team. The second best player on that team was probably matthew delladova. Curry's play was so uninspiring they gave the finals mvp to iguodala
Golden State is a system. I greatly dislike that arrogant passive aggressive Kerr, but I think equal credit goes to him, Curry, and Durant for their success, also with a "secret" 4th ingredient - Bogut/Green/Zaza being allowed to scratch, trip, undercut, poke, hump, accost, assault, grab, grope, moving screen constantly. In the playoffs there is nothing as valuable as that. That's why every player that goes there (including Draymond and Thompson) is overrated. Remember when 33% of Clutchfans wanted to trade Harden for Thompson? Pepperidge Farm remembers. That said, I still think Steph is the best #2 guy you can have on a team, not the best #1. That would be a Durant/Harden/Lebron. Klay is a top tier #3. That's why Durant/Curry/Thompson was so deadly. They are all at the top of their tiers of value
Man is every thing ok with you? You are really working hard to become an *******. That's quite a turn in the last 12 months.
Oh no, anonymous internet message board poster thinks I’m an ******* and doesn’t like or agree with my posts! Oh noes! Ignore feature. Use it. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
LMAO true Must have given himself brain damage smacking his head against the wall after the harden trade
Was the bench stars? Again. Do you still want to claim that Curry was surrounded by stars when they won a championship and when they broke the winning record?
It’s not terrible logic. SUPERSTAR players are still expected to not go lotto with horrible teams. You don’t have to look past our Rockets franchise for examples. Stars dragging garbage to the playoffs is a pretty common thing. You want to keep blaming the supporting cast. A superstar is supposed to make the playoffs even if they have a weak supporting cast, which Curry does not for the record. BUT EVEN IF HE DID, so what. Superstars can get to the playoffs with crap. They can’t win titles with crap, but they shouldn’t be in the lotto. Not complex.
