no harden started guarding big men in 2017 when he became the pg, dantoni saw that he was good at defending bigs and used it with effectiveness againist the likes of jokic, marc gasol, and even cousins at times.

The rockets went to small ball not because of harden guarding big men, but because russ is a terrible fit in the modern nba. He is literally an overpaid bench player almost like an anchor weighing down any teams offenisive ceiling. Westbrook should be getting paid around what derrick rose is getting, not a damn supermax

 

Russell Westbrook is a flawed basketball player, but he’s still a lot better than Andrew Wiggins. Westbrook is still good enough to carry a team to wins against mediocre to bad teams. An NBA team with Wiggins as its best player would struggle to win a game against any other team.

Wiggins’ problem is he lacks the drive to be great and has done little to improve during his time in the league.

also looking at wiseman is proof that just because you tank, their is no guarentee that you will have it made, look at andrew wiggins, andrew bennett and many others. I think small-ball resulted from a combination of things, including the ability to hide Harden on defense.
