Dwight was hurt half of the season and they still got the 2nd seed and Howard was a shell of himself and that point and never played 2 years again for the same team. Brewer is nowhere near better than Bazemore that's laughable Josh Smith was out of the NBA less than a year later. T jones was hurt most of that year and he to was out of the NBA about a year later and Terry was 37 years old and again out of the NBA after 1 year.. Who besides Harden could create their own shot on that Houston team? Thanks for the laugh I knew that breakdown would be laughable
Motiejunas was great for us, but he was omitted from the graphic b/c he didn't play in the playoffs. Don't ignore DMo's contributions in the regular season. And who knows if Dwight was a shell of his former self? He was clearly unmotivated, and Harden had a lot to do with that. And who cares if Dwight never played 2 consecutive years for the same team in the future? That's 100% irrelevant to his contributions to the 2015 roster. Did you watch Bazemore this year? Or in the play-in games? He looked lost playing alongside Curry. There's a reason he's played for 4 teams in the past 3 years. And that has absolutely nothing to do with his performance in 2015. Simply bad logic. He was solid for us in the playoffs. Look at his first round stats. It's stupid to judge 2015 Josh Smith by the performance of 2016 Josh Smith. Again. It's stupid to judge 2015 performances by what happens in later years. How do you not realize how idiotic that is? Dwight? Josh Smith? Terrence Jones? DMo could, but he missed the playoffs.
Again, in that year, the Rockets bench forced game 7 with the Clippers in a comeback must-win with Harden on the bench due in part to his sulking. This demonstrated the the hunger possessed by these overlooked journeymen that even their franchise player lacked. That mob played great in the 2015 playoffs, it doesn't mean they can't "suck" next year. Kobe also had 60 and then retired.
Haha, my curry is in my bowl. I prefer Thai curry, Indian curry, then Japanese curry though. They might carry me to my couch, not sure what they'd do to a team. ppl have diff tastes. I like Harden too, but he did have disappointing performances multiple times when the pressure was on. He's better off now with other superstars. Curry also wimped in 2016, regardless of his previous injury, all he needed was to make one shot and he'd be etched in a higher echelon. He failed that too. Fairytale story is hard to achieve, even Lebron lost plenty of times, but he has gotten more clutch lately, also coincides with him having less responsibility to carry the load for the long-haul. Carrying a team and then being clutch at the 100th game is probably too physically demanding for most people, same for Harden. The dubs lost in 2016 largely because they opted to chase the regular season record instead of taking a mental break. Then they also physically brokedown in the end. More experienced teams would always opt to pace themselves, hence Spurs and Jordan Bulls won that many times. Anyways, thanks for reminding me of my curry bowl.
Nope. I preferred the Grizz. Let Morant have that valuable experience. The dubs had their moments. Their bar is higher, esp after Klay comes back. The eight seed matter more now to the Grizz than the Dubs.
Luka and harden are far better guards then Stephanie because they can score but both are elite playmakers/passers to boot.
how does corey brewer and josh smith turning into game 6 klay and regular season steph curry for 12 minutes in a playoff game make it any easier to get them to 56 wins in the regular season?
Dude you’re a warriors fan so stop using this “ US “ stuff. The us stuff applies to your fellow warriors fans
I literally just explained to you how it does. If James Harden gets Dwight Howard 10 wide open 3s per game, do you consider that good playmaking? No, because understanding personnel strength and maximizing it is good playmaking. This is also what tempo is, maximizing personnel strength in order to create the best scoring opportunities possible. I don't understand how you can creatively come up with an explanation to define gravity as playmaking, but you can't even use 1/10 of that same creativity to see how managing tempo leads to better scoring opportunities. You didn't refute anything here except repeat the same thing 4-5 times, in slightly different words.
Incorrect. Tempo deals with pace, not playmaking. If you're going to argue that playing faster or slower creates defensive breakdowns, you're going to need to give examples, because you haven't explained anything. Making a declarative statement isn't an explanation. Look at transition offense after a long rebound that results in a 3v2. The defensive breakdown has already happened by virtue of the defense being out of position. Increased tempo takes advantage of this defensive breakdown, but it didn't create the breakdown.
Motiejunas and Beverley made it easier, but they were both excluded from the graphic. And as bad as you may think Josh Smith was for us, he still had a PER of 15.2 in the regular season. Would you like to guess how many Warriors players had a higher PER this year?
This wekko kid is now resorting to PER? LMAO it just gets more and more pathetic little does this wekko kid know that Josh Smith was playing in China a year later, then played 3 games for the Pelicans, and that was the end of his career...a Warriors fan wouldn’t know that Is this Curry fanboy aware that by the time Josh Smith joined the team, Harden had already carried that roster to a 20-7 record in the West? Is this Curry stan aware that Harden carried that 16-17 roster to a record of 31-9 at 1 point? Meanwhile the Warriors had a 24-28 record and had to finish the year on fire just to make the 8th seed, but then they lost both play-in games. They were favored against Memphis, but his deity Steph had 8 assists and 13 turnovers in those 2 games. Oops yet another hot-n-ready L for this Curry fanboy
the 14-15 Rockets shot 34.8% from 3 that year...if u take out Harden’s 37.5% shooting from deep that year, the rest of the team shot 34.1% How come Harden still managed to average 7 apg with that roster and that level of shooting, but Steph, the ultimate playmaker, could only manage 5.8 apg this year? How come Steph only managed 6-7 apg playing next to shooters like Klay and later KD?
it would appear the amazing jordan poole basically managed to tie josh at 15.1. of course, thanks to his 50.0 TS%, josh smith had a 0.071 WS/48. would you like to guess how many warriors players outside of steph had a higher WS/48? if you don't, it was 7. so by that measure, he would be like the 9th best warrior.
