Yeah, quoting a stat that has Deandre Jordan as the all time goat, just shows you how flawed it is as a measure of shooting.
Curry is a career 43% 3 point shooter. James is 36% and has never cracked the 40%, Its not even close on who is the better shooter.
James is probably the best flor raiser on the nba right now, but curry is a ceiling raiser, and if you have a team, that's way more important.
I don't think that Curry can carry a team on his own, but that only makes him overrated if you think he is a top 5 player in the league, which he is not.

OKC had a super team with three MVP talent level players and a high end role player in Ibaka. I'd say they were pretty stacked. People keep talking about how lucky Curry is having a stacked team, which is true, but seem to forget how great the OKC team was. I guess if they had won a championship, history would be remembered very differently.

I’ve already won it. Put Lebron’s stats (28/8/4) next his and tell me he won his matchup. He got his ass busted and didn’t lead in scoring, rebounds or assists. You say he ALMOST led them in scoring. LMAO!!! That’s a pretty low bar especially considering the performances of Finals MVPs in the past who DOMINATED THEIR HOF OPPONENTS. It’s laughable when you consider that he was playing with 3 HOF players and a HOF coach. It was gifted to a guy who was valuable and tried hard. I guess Cedric Maxwell was better than Bird? I guess Iggy was better than Curry? It’s happened before. Guys get Finals MVP because it fits the narrative at the time. It’s a gift.

They werent MVP talent level players then they were just starting out, they were like 23 yr old kids when they made the Finals. That team was so young its like when Curry, Klay and Draymond first got drafted they spent several yrs in lotto before they busted out.

You act like KD, Harden and Russ were MVP level from day 1. OKC team had 3 emerging superstars and Ibaka but they were top heavy and extremely inexperienced, that team just looks better because of how good the players became later on and not when they were playing together.

You do know there is more to shooting than 3 pts right? TRUE SHOOTING% is called that because it encompasses all types of scoring, from shooting 3 to layups to fts. When Harden gets fouled at the 3 pt line his % stays at 0 but you are penalizing him for that when he made 3 pts just like a Curry 3 pt shot. At the end of the day shooting is to measure a bucket going in the hoop if one dude makes 3 pts via free throw is he a worse shooter than a dude making 3 pts via 3 pt shot?

Curry is a career 43% shooter so why did he shoot 20% or 2/10 from 3? Is it because he no longer has any space due to having no superstar teammates? Lol u clearly underrating the importance of space for a shooter. If Harden was given the type of space Curry has enjoyed considering he is making 36% when double or triple teamed he will probably be 40+% homself.

Ceiling raiser? Man Curry is making the max just like James Harden. If he can only be effective when you have a complete crew of superstars (ie multiple max players) then he is actually a role player just like a Steve Kerr or Robert Horry. Horry is extremely clutch but he can only make that shot if you have superstars who will put you in a position to win. That's a ceiling raiser.

This whole ceiling raising thing is a dumb argument as per salary cap you can only have 2 max players and a deep roster or 3 max players and a bunch of rookies and vet min. If you cant carry a team then why you getting paid the max?

Health is part of talent. If you cant be on court then you just as bad as an untalented person. Besides, Porzingis got the max even if there were concernd about his legs as well. Brandon Ingram got signed to the max even if he has blood clot risk that can flare up and cause him to resign early like Chris Bosh. Parsons got a 2nd max contract from Grizz after he spent every year injured in Dallas. Lol try again.

2013 GSW Warriors were already complete with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Iguadala and Bogut. How d hell am I wrong about everything? You just trying to play dumb or what?

I don’t think you grasp the magnitude of slowing down LeBron = win, vs not slowing him down = losing. Again, down 2-1 before making a switch to slow LeBron with a player that also matched Curry’s scoring in 2 of the last 3 wins.

You don’t need a great supporting cast to field a competitive team if you have a “top 5 player” on your roster.

I don't, at least not until we see a bit more. He basically missed all of last season. Lets see how he looks like after some games and getting some rhythm. He may look awesome again, and maybe he doesn't and we all have the answer.

No, you've lost it. Who deserved it over Kawhi? He was statistically superior than both Duncan and Parker. It doesn't matter that Parker averaged more ppg than Kawhi. It was by 0.2 ppg.

Also, your argument is ridiculous. You're essentially punishing Kawhi for playing the same position as Lebron.

Health is not a part of talent. That's idiotic. How can a talent be something that's unpredictable?

Name the two all-stars on the 2013 Warriors.

You're literally wrong about everything from that post.

Earlier, didn't you say that Curry had a good team around him? Are you backtracking from that now?

No. Good and great are not synonyms. Curry does not have a title worthy team around him now. Curry does have enough support to not be expected to be irrelevant, this year and last.

What do you mean unpredictable? If it was so unpredictable why did GSW give Curry 11M then? Why were they were predicting he wasnt gonna be healthy if it was so unpredictable? Lulz you continually talk outta both sides of your mouth as usual. Health is totally predictable thats why some guys are called injury prone and why Curry's ankles were a concern to begin with. They are predicting his ankles werent gonna last how obvious is that?

Health is part of talent it's a gift from god you have it or you dont just like how Curry was born a great shooter or Tmac was born extremely athletic. Gordon Hayward did everything he could to be healthy but is untalnted in health. Greg Oden tried his best but he would always develop leg injuries. OTH James Harden can party on strip clubs all night, miss practice and come out with 50 triple doubles. Lebron has played 16 yrs without a major injury. Shaq and Barkley didnt take care of themselves at all and were extremely overweight but had long careers.

Btw I didnt say All Stars in 2013, I said All Stars in general. Klay and Draymond may or may not yet be an all star in 2013 but they were already all star level talent back then. You really trying to argue on technicalities? By that logic Harden was the only all star on his team when the Rox got first seed and took GOAT Team to 7 games.

1 all star vs 4 and it reached Game 7. Either Harden is much better than Curry or Curry is overrated AF. Take your pick.

Lulz u the one trying argue Klay and Draymond werent all stars but I'm the one who is wrong? We all know who is really wrong here and it aint me.

The other dude is saying Curry needs a great team to do anything. If he only has a good team then he isnt that good himself. That dude is consistent unlike you who keeps using double standards and talking out both sides of your mouth in an attempt to always be right.

This season is make it or break it for unanimous MVP. If GSW is bottom of barrel again then you know Curry was overrated all along. Having 3-4 all stars+ deep team which wouldnt really be possible normally hid his weaknesses and over exaggerated his strengths.

Ok, then why don't you list the western conference supporting casts that are superior to the Warriors' supporting cast?

You're proving my point. The Warriors predicted he was going to be hurt, but he was able to stay healthy during the lifetime of that contract. Why? Because health is unpredictable.

You never know when someone is going to tear an ACL or pop an achilles. Look at Shaun Livingston. Was that predictable?

Yes, you're wrong. You said that Curry never made the playoffs without 2 all-stars.

Now you're arguing that Draymond was all-star caliber in 2013? In 2013, Draymond Green came off the bench and averaged 13 minutes per game and 3 ppg. That just screams "all-star caliber", doesn't it?

And why do you think the current GSW supporting cast is a "good" supporting cast? Which teams in the western conference have better supporting casts?

Do you know why I'm usually right? Because I'm careful about what I say; for instance, you said that Curry needed 2 all-stars to make the playoffs which was proven untrue in 2013. But did you own your mistake and move on? No, you doubled down on your wrongness and said Draymond Green was all-star caliber in 2013.
