WE ARE! It's obvious how impactful he is when the deck isn't stacked. Have you been watching how impactful he isn't in these situations? Last year, the prior Finals when two stars went out and what folks expect from a team with talent this season?
So then there should be no low expectations for his team, since he's a top player and healthy, right?
I mean the other best players are missing..... so I personally don't have high expectations for them.
There's no series to change without Curry's scoring. Curry averaged 26ppg, 6.3 apg, and 5.2 rpg. Iguodala averaged 16.3ppg, 4 apg, and 5.8 rpg. Curry was absolutely robbed.
He was ALMOST the leading scorer? LMAO!!!!! Kawhi wasn't the leading scorer, rebounder or assist guy for the Spurs and he LOST his individual matchup BIG. That Finals MVP was a gift! Cornbread Maxwell 1981 Style!
Yeah I remember how they reached the Finals in OKC. Meanwhile Curry couldnt even make the playoffs till he got 2 all stars around him. Thats part of the reason his first contract extension was only 15M, everyone thought he wasnt worth a max. Just cuz your team was awesome doesnt mean you are better than a dude on a crappy team gimme a break.
we will see how great of a shooter steph really is this year, unless you think players exit their prime at age 32 with almost no wear and tear on them, curry should be fresh, how many seasons has he shut it down early because of "injury"
I think Patrick Patterson may the only player on rockets that year who had experience starting on an NBA team previously or it was Parsons?
omg here come the steph curry injury excuses, this why nba players dont like him. Has nothing to do with him being lightskinned as matt barnes said, its the fact that media ALWAYS treats him with kid gloves. He is nevr critisized, last night the warriors were down by 20 at half, and instead of the tnt crew discussing the game, they bring up james harden AT HALFTIME, in game where kevin durant made his nba comeback. Curry is forever protected by the media and i dontknow why. Harden would have 3 mvps if the players had the ability to determine the vote, and curry would only have one
For the series, Parker averaged 18 ppg, 4.6 apg, 0.4 rpg, and 0.8 spg. Leonard averaged 17.8 ppg, 2 apg, 6.4 rpg, 1.6 spg, and 1.2 bpg. Duncan averaged 15.4 ppg, 2 apg, 10 rpg, 0.4 spg, and 0.8 bpg. So yes, Kawhi was almost the leading scorer, and he clearly had better stats than Parker. So it comes down to Kawhi vs Duncan, who had comparable raw stats. Then you need to consider matchups, and Kawhi guarded Lebron. And what about efficiency? Kawhi had a TS% of 75.3%. So the edge goes to Kawhi. It's ridiculous to call it a "gift" when he was the most deserving player. You're not going to win this argument.
curry was getting flustered by a simple box and one, a defense we have seen harden beat with relative ease ben taylor and elgee who run nba sites both use steph currys injury as an excuse to not remove him from playoff greats. He is the only player in history who constantly has these excuses made for him, and its sickening
Lol that dude dumb AF praising Curry as first and only unanimous MVP on one hand and then making excuses on the other. It's like saying Superman is the strongest hero ever but he needs 5 more heroes on his side vs his opponent before he can do anything. SMH.
You're wrong about everything here. Who were the 2 all-stars in 2013? And his first extension was $11m/year because there were concerns about his ankles, not his talent.
James Harden would be seen in a totally different light by fans if he got treated with kid gloves like steph and giannis do. Giannis is a 2x mvp as hasnt had any more postseason success than harden, but hardens postseason is always used a strike againist him when its time to hand out awards
False. Prior to making the switch in G4, GS was DOWN 2-1 despite what Curry was doing offensively. It didn't matter because they couldn't control LeBron. In G4 they brought in Iggy to play more D on LeBron and didn't lose another game. Iggy also scored just as much as Curry in G4 and G6, while being the difference on LeBron. That's why he won MVP...he earned it.
You should. They have a two time MVP on the roster and he isn't surrounded by garbage. And he's only 31. They shouldn't be expected to be irrelevant.
How is it false? Without Curry's 26 ppg, the Warriors wouldn't have stood a chance. He was the engine of the offense. I don't think you grasp the magnitude of a 10 ppg gap.
Out of curiosity, which western conference teams do you think have better supporting casts than the Warriors?
