Because he has great skill sets that would translate to numerous teams that don't have Curry on it. Injuries in 2015, a cap spike and Durant deciding to come have more to do with Draymond having titles than anything else. Your position is beyond silly because Draymond could do the same things on literally every other playoff team.
You think other playoff teams would let a poor scorer be the primary ball-handler? That position is beyond silly. Curry unlocks Green's skill set in a way that very few (if any) can.
My point was that the 41-41 Rockets made the playoffs because the Lakers beat the Jazz in their last game of the season. Had the Lakers lost, the Rockets would've missed the playoffs. The Rockets were that closing to missing the playoffs. Yet because the Rockets made the playoffs, Icehouse, in this thread, has gone on and on about how "superstars" should be able to make the playoffs regardless of the supporting cast. He even penalized Curry for failing to lead the Warriors to the playoffs last year when he had a broken hand. My point was that his idea of a "superstar" is moronic. According to his logic, Kobe wasn't a true superstar. Neither was Olajuwon.
Now you are answering for other posters? Questions that were not asked of you? Really? Are you Steph?
this warriors team is better than that rockets team. draymond, wiggins, looney, wiseman, bazemore, juan tuscano and poole would be much better than corey brewer and whatever else we had. In fact i think this warriors roster sans curry is better what the rockets( sans harden) finished with last year in the bubble. You put luka, harden, or lebron in place of curry on this roster and they win 50 games. How long have rockets been clamoring for guys like oubre and bazemore. Curry is playing with them plus draymond.. no excuses
Whoops, my mistake. I thought you had responded to me. It was unfortunate timing that I referenced the 41 win Rockets at the same time as the other guy.
can you imagine if harden had curry stats but the rockets made the 8th seed, james would be lucky to make 3rd team all-nba. Winning matters unless you are harden( then the goal posts move)
Why are all the Curry lovers in here crying? lol I mean seriously, what is so impressive about a guy carrying a team to the 8th seed in a conference??
Come on man Games 6&7 in 2018 vs GS Averaged 32/7/7 on 53% TS. Slightly sub par efficiency but that is not “folding” in any sense of the word. Games 5&6 in 2019 vs GS Averaged 33/6/6 plus 4 steals on 65% TS. That is the complete opposite of “folding”. That is doing everything possible to win and scoring ultra efficiently. The entire Lakers series last season he played alongside Westbrook who played likely the most awful 5 games of his entire life and yet Harden put up 29/5/7 on an ultra efficient 66% TS. Once again the complete opposite of folding. No player would/should receive any kind of hate for that kind of a performance against the eventual champs. If you think Harden folded at every opportunity and that’s why Houston never made it all the way then you don’t know what you are talking about. It’s also pretty easy to go through Curry’s playoff game log and find no shortage of games where he sucked but one of his many all star teammates carried him to a team win. This debate is all in good fun, but can’t we at least keep things in the realm of reality? Let’s not just make up stuff that can be fact checked.
Watched the game last night and it's the first time in maybe forever where I watched a Warriors game and was rooting for them to win. It was a weird feeling. Steph is fun to watch when you're not supporting the opposing team. Draymond was still great on defense. GSW just needed some more from a guy like Wiggins. Also, Steph had some bad turnovers that shouldn't have happened. Oh well. Lakers win.
It was an easy choice for me, who to root for. I'm not sure I've rooted for the Lakers to win any game since Magic Johnson returned for half a season.
Why are you grouping games together? For the smoothing effect? I guess "53% TS in games 6 & 7" sounds significantly better than "49.2% TS in game 7".
