I guess because JVG coached 'em years ago and knows exactly what they're made of and capable of when both healthy on the floor. ;)

Because honestly if our coach RA really knew how to use Yao as well as JVG did most of us would clearly see why. Just look at Dwight Howard's performance when a coach like Stan Van Gundy stepped in. JVG knows what the tandem of Mcgrady and Yao are capable of. The man knows his basketball. I just wish the Rockets were able to surround JVG with the talent that this team has now. I am not saying RA is a bad coach but I'm still waiting to see him get this team in order and watch him bring out the best in our players.

Because they are his boys. JVG also said healthy T-Mac could score as good as anyone except L James.

Now why can we bring in JVG as our defensive coach specialist? RA and JVG should be Rockets co-coach.

JVG is a little biased towards the Rockets IMO. Last year in the Lakers game (when the Rockets played them for their 22nd consecutive win) he said Rafer was the second best PG in the West. Now we all know a lot of PG's in the West are better than Rafer (no hate), but seriously some of the things he says are fan-like talk and homerism.

He said a healthy T-Mac was as good as anyone not named James or Bryant.

Well, yeah he's biased. But I think he said that Rafer had been playing like the 2nd best PG in the West, or something like that. He was just commenting on his recent play.

Because that is Mark Jackson's job. How do you think he gets that ESPN job?

It sure doesn't. Teams do that all the time.

But on a serious note, I am skeptical about Adelman's offense but I hope it works out for the best and we get out of the first round (and farther) these playoffs.

    Go Rockets!

Oh just to remind you all

Mark Jackson is the same idiot who said Kobe is greater than Michael Jordan and then had to eat his own words.

Yao "The Dream" Ming just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Yeah, like a rather obvious question to answer. IMO, Yao will never really be as good as the Dream ever was, but I feel that the reason he's only considered by many to be the best center in the game today is that they're are not all that many good centers in the league to go around.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but JVg is looking at it from a coaching perspective while Jackson still kind of views it from a fan perspective. To a coach, a complete center is more impressive, to a lot of fans, a monster center who's a stat machine is more impressive.

But really JVG loves a lot of players, I think tmac/yao just stands out more because we pay attention to his comments during Rocket games even more since we're fans. Plus, since he coached them he knows a lot more about them and isn't assuming when he talks about them.

I'm pretty sure Mark Jackson did a 180 about this. I CLEARLY remember him declaring Yao the best center, without question. And this was early this season. Like the 5th game.

I think JVG is waiting for RA to retire.
