Can Someone Tell Me Why The Hell charles barkley Hates Us SO Much?

If you were a gambling man you wouldn't take Barkleys advice.

Barkleys last prediction was that Auburn would shock the world and beat Alabama. Score Alabama 35 - Auburn 0

 

It's because one night we will dominate the Spurs or Hornets and the next we will lose to the Grizzlies. Thats pretty much what it boils down too.

 

I can't believe this board gets so worked up over the Chuckster. The guy's there for entertainment and to try to get a rise out of people.

There is no reason to take him seriously.

 

The Spurs scare me with all their championship experience and their own big 3, but the rockets would be a horrible matchup for the Spurs in the playoffs as well. I wouldn't want to see the rockets play those guys especially if it was in the 1st round, after the 1st round it wouldn't matter to me. I still think the rockets are going to have to add some athletic size before its all said and done, if they intend on advancing no matter what round it is.

 

I actually like him hatin on us. That way when we kick people's asses this year the joke's on him

 

Barkely did not win a championship with us, he is still mad about that. Clyde comes and gets a ring, he thought he could do the same.

Yeah, I love my Rockets but I dont think we have done anything yet to deserve respect of a championship contender, even if it is because we are all banged up right now, that would be the reason we are not contenders at the moment.. it is what it is, we just have not been able to stay healthy and our 2 biggest stars are very injury prone.

 

I actually agree. I would say the Mavs and the Spurs are all a lot better than us. Jazz, NO, and Nuggets are definitely better too. What do we have besides injuries? Do we have a smooth offense? How's the team meshing? Where's the intensity and D? This team is good for only 6th or 7th seed at this point.

 

Whatever. You can say we haven't proven anything, thats fine. It doesn't discount that barkley is a moron.

The spurs, j*zz and hornets haven't looked all that impressive this far. Then again the Rockets aren't doing so well in the division standings......oh wait.

That streak wasn't a fluke. Injuries are what hurt us, thats it. We're not going to lose every year in the first round, odds just don't work for that.

We have lots to prove, I agree, but I still think we're one of the few teams that has a shot at it all. As long as the Rox do ok in Dec and to this point I'm good. We've done well in the second half consistently. We'll be ok.

If you want some decent insight from the national media look to Wilbon and even Kornheiser. I agree with McGrady about advice from chuck.

honestly, if people are thinking that rockets aren't going anywhere or we sucks as bad as Chuckster said, then my advise would be time to jump ship and don't ever come back.

Our team is and was once again cursed by the injury bug. However this is a good sign because in the pass the injury curse has away got us in the end of the season. this limited our ability in the playoffs. we are now still 4 months away til playoffs, we can use the time to get better and heal up.

imagine: healthy Tmac, Artest, Yao, Battier, and SF3...wow what a lineup.

its the new wave of sensitive, we deserve all the glory for nothing, "Rocket fans".

They don't know how it was when we had a MVP, won the NBA championship and still get no respect.

For some reason they think EVERY YEAR we deserve to be the #1 team in the league.

They don't understand that RESPECT IS EARNED. We've earned NOTHING.

Lost in 7 games to the Spurs in the 2nd round last year.

Jazz:
They beat us twice in the playoffs when we have home court advantage.

New Orleans has never been to the WCF. They couldn't even beat a limping Spurs team at home in Game 7.

We have to advance DEEP in the playoffs. Losing in the 2nd round shouldn't garner any respect.

 

Do newbs not know when the Rockets last made the WCF?
I want someone who's start date is 2007-2008 to tell me when this happened.

And why do people have to respect the Rockets over New Orleans when New Orleans made it further than we did in the playoffs?

I remember us losing in the first round, unless you other Rockets fans can tell me how we got further than New Orleans in the playoffs.
