    I could easily make that with a tapered dado joint and a better finish than what is in the image you posted. Shipping might cost more than the riser, though.

    sorry to bump an old thread but, I have scrap wood and 2 hands and tools and I could build this kind of stuff. msg me. I'm in clear lake area.
