A more NBA ready player isn't always the one drafted higher.

You make a great point but I thought Morris did well in the preseason to at least get more than garbage time min.

I have looked at every boxscore this season, and it seems evident to me that almost ALL coaches are treating the first few games of the season like preseason. They are trying out different things and giving different guys minutes. Coaches who normally have an 8 or 9 player rotation play 12, 13 guys a night.

They will tighten the rotation later on.

    Simple explanation.

And Parsons probably figured out the system faster than Morris. Doesn't mean too much early on.

;) It's like the extension of the simulation KG called the other day.
Pops benched Duncan at halftime, Ginobili and Parker in the 3rd.

It's obvious -- trade Morris while we can. We have too many PFs, and, of the PFs, he has the least potential / talent. Chase and Chandler give us a nice combo at SF.

Definitely agree. I think Budinger was the same way when he was drafted. Hopefully, Morris and Motiejunas fare better than Dorsey and Taylor.

I have always expected Budinger to be able to shoot better. Not as down on him as some, but he doesn't fit the team now and for the foreseeable future. I wonder what Minnesota would give for him?

Because Marcus Morris embarresed himself and the Rockets organization in that dance off at open practice.

What does that even mean in this situation? NBA ready? Marcus Morris is 22. He isn't 18.

Rick Adelman's 1st year, beginning of the season he was bringing in Mike James, Bonzi Wells and Luis Scola off the bench. They had a 6 game losing streak within the 1st month and lost 8 of 11 in one stretch.

Scola didnt start until 3 months in. Carl Landry was taken off his leash around that same time. Aaron Brooks rotted on the bench the entire time. Til he found a combo that won 22 straight games.

There is absolutely no way to know for CERTAIN what works when you've never even SEEN your OWN players play together. Especially YOUNGER players who don't have much body of work to reference.

A player sometimes is drafted on who they will be instead of who they are. Morris was drafted to play the SF. He may not be ready to understand defensive responsibilities of the SF position as he didn't play the position at the college level. Also, his shot may not be out to NBA range, yet.

Comon, man! It's the middle game of 3 in a row. Not everyone will play all 3 games. Loosen your girdle.

Morris looks lost and chucks up too many 3s. Give Parsons minutes and see what he is capable of.
