Can someone explain to me what tribal sovereignty is?

    i just love them way he attacks the answer to the question with such gusto and speed and then about three words into the answer the penny drops in the head telling his mouth that his brain has no idea

    personally i think this takes the cake, well certainly ahead of wanting to harm the American people and certainly in a tie with biggest mistake quote at the live press conference and also a tie with saying from tennessee

    a stammer... nice reasoning... we are certainly not doing that... think most Australians have had a couple of great laughs in the last week with what is coming out of the mouth of the President of the most powerful nation in the world, due to his lack of intelligence and public speaking ability he makes some great and extremely funny gaffs

    Tribal Sovereignty means that Native Americans get to run casinos, but are still subject to every other law set down by their conquerors.

    Not true, on their land they are a seperate nation.

    They don't pay taxes in them thar casinos either.

    Then why are Indian reservations routinely raided by federal agents? Why don't we have to show our passports when entering Indian land? They are hardly separate nations. A few diferences in tax code do not make reservations independent.

    Federal agents?

    They have to check in with tribal leaders.

    Also not every nation requires you to show you passport.

    Ever go to Europe, you show it in one country, but you can hop on a train and go all over and never show it again.

    do a google search for Mabo and Aboriginal land rights

    our treatment of Aboriginals (and refugees) are two things that make me ashamed to be Australian
