I remember Craig Roberts doing the Sports Sunday show. Back then, it was only about 10 minutes AFTER the regular news, and it ended at 10:30. After I saw that, I changed the channel to 39 to watch George Michael and the Sports Machine (to the day, I still think he actually "activated" videos with those red and blue buttons next to him  ).

C'mon, y'all... the dude just asked for someone to photoshop some CRAP. Either you do it, or don't... but, damn... it's not like he came in and said "HAHAHAH! This would be so funny, y'all!!!! DO THIS NOW!!!!"

Every Fatty thread turns into a "you're this" and "i'm that" fight. Can't we all just get along? :(

    ;)

What if someone photoshopped "go to hell" on his forehead? That usually gets a laugh on an office birthday card.

You know I was torn whether or not to post in this thread as I saw it early this morning (my son woke up with a poop diaper). At the time I didn't have my glasses or contacts in, so I had to get really really really close to the computer screen to read the thread. Considering that today is a really slow work day with not many people here, I guess I will go ahead and post.

Fatty - there are several fallacies that you have encountered in doing this thread with the biggest being that you would think that EVERYONE that posts here would automatically know who "Craig Roberts" is. Let me refresh your brain here but there are many Rocket fans who do NOT live in Houston mainly because of a certain 7'6" center who came from another country. Also add people like myself who didn't have a team to root for locally and chose the Rockets because of Olajuwon or some other former Rocket player - we don't live in Houston either. So, to expect the whole board to know who Craig Roberts is and then get pissy when several people say "Who the eff is that?" is beyond insane but then again that sorta fits your MO in posting.

Another fallacy is that, as ima_drummer2k pointed out, you actually thought people would care about this topic. That would be like me posting a thread on the many different lineups of Yes and asking the board who they thought was the best lineup and even come up with their "all-star" lineup of Yes. Outside of Voodoo Pope, I doubt that there is anyone else here that would care about it. Yet, you wouldn't see me chastising and scolding people for posting stuff like "Who the eff cares about Yes?" and "Why in the hell did you do a thread on something so stupid and obscure?" Mainly you wouldn't see me doing that because I wouldn't have started a thread like that in the first place.

Even the title to this thread is epic fail - you should have said something like "Can anyone photoshop Craig Roberts face onto another photo?" The way you have the title, you make it sound like "Craig Roberts" has become an accepted vernacular or slang in today's modern contemporary English and that people walk around all the time saying, "Well, I just 'Craig Roberts' this guy in accounting and it was great!" I mean seriously dude, WTF??

It boils down to once again this need to post every little thing that pops in your head. Believe me, Fatty, I have been there and done that before. The best way to get over that sickness is to find yourself busy with stuff outside this BBS, like having a family and raising kids, especially a baby. Then you won't find the time to post on the BBS your favorite cheesy sports team video from the '80s and asking the BBS to vote because you will be too busy giving your baby a bottle, lol.

Maybe the mods here can automatically lock Fatty out of the BBS from 10 at night til 6 in the morning but then we would lose the opportunity to read bizarre threads like this one. A classic "Catch 22" situation if there ever was one, if you ask me.

it does seem like a lot of people just want to jump on the bandwagon of ragging on ffb for no reason.

I can situations like losing a class ring, country singing, etc.

but now it is just any post he makes and is getting old

updawg, I gotta disagree with you on this. FFB made some very reasonable posts in the D&D yesterday and people were engaging him like a normal poster. Even a few people who always disagree with him thought he made some good points and told him as much. And not even in a snarky way either.

In my case, I think fatty knows I’m just taking the piss out of him. He can dish it out so he should be able to take it too. The fact that sometimes he can’t….well, that usually makes for a pretty entertaining thread IMO. I admit, I’m kind of twisted like that.

Remember, this is all in good fun. It’s just the internet.

Well you shouldn't feel sorry for him and I will tell you why. Most of the time when someone posts a thread that doesn't "connect" with the rest of the BBS (for lack of a better word), the original poster will maybe bump the thread to try to get some participation but eventually the thread gets pushed off the first page and dies in ignominy.

However, Fatty isn't like most people. Instead of just letting his thread die in peace, he feels "compelled" to insult people for "not getting" it which in turn leads to the thread to continue but be a "let's rag on Fatty" thread instead. So, if he would just not insult people and ignore them, then the "ragging" would probably stop. But I think he likes the attention so that is why he does what he does, IMO.

Yet after seeing this schtick and routine for the umpteenth time, I can tell you that is what is going on here. And once again, I like a couple of others have fallen into this - hook, line, and sinker. The problem is that Fatty's on-line persona is so obnoxious that it is hard not to say something even though ignoring him would be the best thing to do.

I don't think he's getting his feelings hurt or anything like that.

it just seems like every thread, regardless of its topic, the responses just rip on him for no reason lately.

(I didn't see the D&D threads and probably many others so I may be completely off base)

I still consider myself "young" and I know who Craig Roberts is. I just would like to say that I feel honored to have a picture of me as part of a thread where you all are pulling each others' pigtails. This might be the weirdest thread I've ever encountered LOL

BS - you haven't been reading the same thread that I have been reading. Yes, the first post after his op was insulting (the one by MoBalls) but read what Landlord Landry says:

Which to me is a valid post, I mean I would post something like that, too. So what does Fatty say to Landlord in response to his post?

Just because the poor dude didn't know who Craig Roberts is (which really he never even said that, he is just questioning why Fatty would want to do this), Fatty starts calling him a "bandwagon" fan. Yes, Landlord decided to bandwagon a team that FINALLY got out of the first round of the playoffs this past season! Call me crazy but I thought "bandwagon" fans were those fans that started rooting for the team that just won the championship not teams that just got out of the first round. So, calling him a "bandwagon" fan was silly.

I mean the guy sorta brings it on himself, if you see what I am saying.

I'd have liked a Yes Lineup thread better. I know who Craig Roberts is, and knew what FFB was talking about, so I'm not sure why everyone is so worked up about it, aside from knowing that they can rile him up easily. Does seem like that's become a sport lately though.

And Bruford easily beats Alan White. Cmon, Pope.

:: listening to Drama right now :: how ironic.

Yes! (pun intended) - I would go with the same but sub Bruford for White but it is close.

I hear ya, man - I feel the same way.

Do you really think starting a thread asking someone to “Craig Roberts” a picture of Adam Clanton is a sensible idea for a thread? It’s just so random…so bizarre…and yes, so Fatty.

I mean, the fact that we are actually “debating” this just proves my point about how entertaining it is to witness a typical FFB thread devolve into an absurd pissing match. Intentional or not, you really can’t see the humor in that? The fact that grown men are actually debating this “topic”? Personally, I think it’s pretty amusing.

Oh, man. This is nothing. You should do a search for a thread called "should I start a war?"

I wish there was a way to search for threads started by certain posters between certain hours of the day. Now THAT would be entertaining.

    rocketabc,

    This

And don't forget the threads on losing the class ring or the one about he changed some girl's name at a wedding and the one that had a poll about whether he was awesome or not (my favorite). And then there are the miscellaneous threads where Fatty accuses a poster of being someone else with the best being the battles with Desert_Rocket who wrote a devestating poem about Fatty that had me and the rest of the board laughing for days.

This thread is so random and bizarre (like a lot of Fatty threads) - reminds me of what I am listening to right now in Pere Ubu's debut, "The Modern Dance". That album has all these random blips and the singer is hilarious saying all these off the wall things.
