Eddie would be better in an Astros uniform. He could take Dalgy's spot in the outfield. He's got to be a better hitter than him. His line drives would be a thing of beauty to Jimy Williams.

Well, there's got to be a reason the 'Stros are losing so much lately. As evidenced from the past couple years, Dalgy's the usual scapegoat. Can't go wrong with him!

its the pitching. first 10 games. starting pitching was weak, bullpen was awesome. last 6 or 7 games, starting pitching strong, bullpen lost it.

I've always said the "potential" word is a curse. What about Larry Hughes? He's been in th league since 98 and people are still waiting on his potential. Tim Thomas. People are still waiting on him to be the next Pippen but bigger. He recently lost his job to 34yr old Toni Kukoc. What about Camby? Rodney White? Stromile Swift , at least he's howing a pulse. All of these guys have this "p" word attached to them, but sometimes, what you see is what you get. Part of the problem when evaluating young players is that coaches and scout look at plain atheletic ability. While thats accurate for some, i think thats the wrong thing to look at.

When looking at post players, the first thing you want to look at is hands and footwork. Looking at Griffin, he has ok hands, but footwork is terrible. When I use to see J.O'neal come off the bench and even though he was light in the rear, he had good footwork. I can look at Randolph and say the same thing about him. Thats why I know when given the chance, he'll be a 18pts 11 rebs type of guy. Eddie from day one was never confortable with playing down low and the coaches used his lack of strength as an excuse to have him straddling the 3pt line. Why not run a pick and roll from the ft line extended instead of the 3pt line.

I'm pretty much in agreeance with everyone who says Eddie will be like 14pts 8 rebs and maybe blks. I think he'll be like Donyell Marshall, but that can be a good thing. Marshall was in the same boat, but changed his thinking and playing style around until he went to Utah and now he's a real good sloid 50%fg 15pts 10 rebs type of player. If Eddie turns into that kind of player, it wouldn't seem like a waste as Jefferson turns into a all star.

When i watched the Spurs yesterday and they doubled Duncan every possession, Dave nor Malik were no further than the ft line from Duncan. When they doubled Duncan, those 2 would dive to the basket for layups and dunks. I think the word spacing gets misused and represented by the Rockets. The best way to get spacing is having guys moving and cutting and defenses looking for people instead of running to spots were you know they are standing still at.
