Maybe not at the age of (almost) 32, but I'm pretty sure he could at some point. Frankly if you're 6'3", play basketball regularly, and can't dunk, it's pretty sad. Unless you're "that guy" who weighs 260 lbs and just stands under the goal all day collecting rebounds and put backs that you wouldn't be able to get if there were an actual 3 second call in pick up games.
dunking is 2 points, while layups and everything inside the arc is 2 points, correct me if im wrong guys but last i remember dunking strains many parts of your body; back, legs, feet, ankles, etc. everytime i see guys dunk in the rec im pretty impressed but i realize that its nothing more than show boating, sure you get to dunk and show off but on defense when its going the other way its really not all that practical to allow a 4vs5 fast break. i'd rather lay it up and touch the back board while running back on defense than hanging on the rim after every play and playing catch up with my team/opponents. that's just me though?
Aww that's no fun! I like to dunk it and stick all sorts of stickers on the backboard while I'm up there. At the end of the game the backboard will by all nice and pretty.
Maybe he can but just like Steve Nash he will never do it in a game. After all he isn't supposed to do that.
I think some of you got the impression that I want rafer to dunk whenever he can, but really, I'm fine with him just laying it up on fast breaks...was just wondering if anyone ever saw him dunk before. But what game did rafer try to attempt a dunk and end up injuring his groin? Was it against the nets on 12/7/07? cause I don't even remember seeing that, and I watched nearly all of every game this season.
If you are over 6"0' and are in the NBA, you know how to dunk. Hell, even AI can dunk over people (isn't he like 5-10).
I hope i never see him dunk, after watching Novak dunk i hope it can't be any worse that this <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VTbm4VhO8L4&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VTbm4VhO8L4&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
