Hunter was just waived by the bulls, kid is still young great shooting with potential to fit in mikes system as a shooter. Brewer needs to be stuck on the bench

He's boys with Harden, he has the best job security out of any 12th man in the NBA.

He might have had a chance but seeing who liked your post, OP, I'd say the chance is less than zero.

Seeing how shooting is our biggest problem Morey has probably been working to get this kid here for years. Hunter would be the second greatest acquisition of Morey's tenure, first of course being the defensive rebounding machine that was Marcus Thornton

If Morey wanted to do that he could have done it before Chicago signed him initially. Besides, there are several D-League (Archie Goodwin/GPII), unsigned FA's (Mario Chalmers) and overseas (Jimmer Fredette) players better than RJ Hunter.

Is this the kid that has been mired in a 3 year long shooting slump dating back to his last collegiate year? After that long and large of a sample size, maybe he just isn't the shooter some projected he would be.

RJ maybe too soft for the NBA. He may be a head case who was just a pretty good college player.

You must be thinking of someone else. This kid is shooting a blistering 36% from the field and 30% from 3. Those are Corey Brewer level shooting numbers! Morey needs to jump on this guy quick.

I remember an article on here about the 28th pick being the worst pick statistically. Might have been Grant land- I forgot what exactly it said

we haven't had a lot of success turning around sputtering careers here. chances are, if they suck on another team, they will suck here too.

Sure, Morey can waive Bobby Brown to pick up RJ Hunter. Morey is the GM, so it's his prerogative.

Not quite. RJ Hunter has to agree to sign as he has already cleared waivers. So, the answer to the OP is "1. Yes, 2. With Hunter's consent."

HOU is in trouble if RJ Hunter gets any significant minutes, would rather allot the scrap PT we have to the prospects we already have.

If he isn't a rim protector, then the Rockets don't need him.

Does he do anything besides shoot? Our team is all about having at least two skills. Even Brewer is elite fast and plays some defense.
