Nothing against Scola, but I WANT KD to be ROY. Texas ftw!

Barring injury, he should win it, but it is not like Durant is born and raised in Texas. I will watch him because he has the potential to be a good pro player, not because he went to UT for 1 year.

I can't believe 52 of you guys voted for Scola. Vote as an NBA fan, not a Rockets fan.

Maybe they honestly think that Scola could win it. Conley isn't going to be as instantly good as his draft number suggests. Yi, same thing. Horford has a chance, but his team is so... limited, that I don't think he's going to be a scoring sensation. Durant has the best chance of beating out the others on the list but that's mainly because there isn't really anyone else on the Sonics to be the "go to" guy at this point.

I don't think Oden really had the chance either... even if he hadn't been out for the season.

So if they think that Scola will be more productive than Durant... well I know that I hope its true, but sincerely doubt it will happen!

Everyone has a chance at ROY. Some people have more opportunities than others, but all it takes is few injuries for someone to get a chance. If Boozer were injured for all of last year, we might have seen Milsap as ROY. Scola's got a shot at being a starter for a damn good team. Whether or not he wins ROY is up to him.

    Stop dreaming!
Scola is good player but he will not make enough shots near Mac,Yao,Francis,James itc.
    Never mind.
    Don't expect from him that.

He'll be in the top 5 rookies and make the freshman-sophomore game, but most likely will be behind several other players like Kevin Durant or Yi who is also very skilled not to mention tall and athletic with guaranteed minutes. Maybe there will also be a surprise candidate that comes out of nowhere that happens sometime like Bellinilli since Nelly's teams make it easy for their players to score. Either way, Scola will be noticed. If he helps boost the Rockets to one of the elites having to battle the Titans every night, then they will be talking about him. What would be great is if he was just as good as the rookie of the year, but happened to be a role player on our team.

I dont think Scola is gonna get the ROY, because Kevin Durant are going to have more impact in the league, but Scola is going to be in the rookie 1st team at the end of the season

With Yao out, I can see Scola getting increased minutes and shots. If we adjust and do well, I think he has more than a legit shot at ROY now.

He will have to be great, there are 26 games left, he will have to average at least 20ppg and 8-10 rpg over the last 26 games to have a legit shot at it, it is possible but it will depend on coach Adelman decision to give him or Landry the shots and on how T-Mac decides to go "it´s on me" mode or to believe on what was working (team play).

Both Landry and Scola will get increased minutes as well as Deke. We'll see how well our young rookies are when thrown into the fire. I guess they will either shine or break.
