LOL OP, cleverly disguised Martin-hating thread. Seriously, its part of his game and something he essentially does to succeed and complement his already almighty scoring abilities, to elevate him further offensively.

Taking away Martin's ability to draw fouls is like taking away Ginobili's r****ded ability to flop, it's a colossal amount of their games (offensively and defensively respectively). Its just how they play on the court.
Why does it matter?, as long as he's scabbing us wins, i don't care if he gets 100 free throws or none a game. :\

If there was any threat of refs not calling ticky-tack fouls on the perimeter, this might be relevant in some way. But, there's no chance of that.

Who cares? Free throws are part of the game for a reason.

He is arguably one of the greatest three-point shooters in the league and has a killer mid-range game that only pales in comparison to the likes of the Carmelo Anthonys and Tracy McGradys (pre-injury) of the league.

Free throws are just his way of making the game easier for him to play.

Imo...his game does rely too much on the refs which can exposed in the playoffs and crunch time when they tend to swallow their whistle more on ticky tack fouls, he could still be a 20 pt scorer he just wouldn't be as efficient having to make more fg's.

And that reason is not so guys can throw their bodies around and draw whistles without any intent to make a shot. That's supposedly where the manufactured hate for Utah comes from around these parts.

So true, I don't like that part of his game, where he is intentionally trying to draw a foul instead of making the shot.

If he is still trying to make the shot, fine...but the blatent stuff, should not be called a foul, IMO.
