Lin is nothing but a role player at this point of his career. I just do not see any signs of him becoming any more than that. His turnovers and seriously bad defense cannot be ignored.

So you don't think his last 2 games/2nd half of last season at least warrant's the possibility he's more than just a role player?

Lin plays better defense than Harden bro, Lin may not be a good defender, but at least he tries

If he can keep shooting like he does with confidence, he'll be great.

Yes, I was skeptical in the first half of last season but watching him grow as a player shows me that he can be a real threat in this league. I do think is value on this team is as a sixth man, his strength is coming in during a drought and getting the offense going, he needs more room to operate.

Harden, when Lin is on the court, should defer sometimes to allow Lin to run the offense. It would also allow Harden to conserve some energy for defense. The ISOs in general should stop. Harden is my favorite player in the league but his strength is not to dribble dribble dribble and take a contested shot. He will learn this in time as all young players do and that is a great thing, Rome wasn't built in a night.

Lin's D isn't too bad. He's not a lockdown defender or anything but he gives a good effort. Not his fault he had to be the main scorer last night AND had to play 49 minutes on top of that. Ain't nobody gonna be a good defender in that kinda game.

Can he be the third member of our big three? Absolutely.

We just need better coaching, better play from our SFs (which I think will come when Parsons' back heals and Cisco gets well), and a legit starting power forward.

Who really care about "third star" and all that nonsense?

I just hope Lin and the team has gained some confidence and trust in him from the last 2 games. No matter how flawed his last game was, he was killing it and it probably would have been a blowout if we had AB in there instead.

I would take last nite's "Linsanity" over the Lin from the beginning of last year any day of the week.

When Harden is 100%, I think our guard rotation will be one of the best in the league.

Could use an athletic, tall wing defender though. Trevor Ariza as a defensive specialist who can (might?) hit an open 3 looks pretty good right now..

Bev is great defender but short. Lin will have trouble with taller guards. Harden is Harden on defense.

If Lin and Bev continue to play together in long stretches, soon enough the league will take notice and explore the mismatch to attack Lin. He's too short defensively for SG.

Playing out of position defensively occasionally is all right, but every game(if you consider the Bev, Lin, Harden, Parsons, DWH lineup as well) is too much to handle.

Lin was definitely having trouble with Anderson, the height difference was definitely a factor. But he was also carrying the team offensively as well, so he might have been a little more tired. 48 mins on court!!

Why not? Lin keeps on stepping up when almost everyone else failed to. Just hope he keeps it up even when knowing the numbers are not sustainable.

We would have won 3 of the 4 games we loss had our 3s connected a bit more as last year. Parsons/Harden/Garcia/Beverley are just not connecting at all on 3s. I know they will come. But the agony of these losses.

No one is consistent but Lin is the most consistent player we have on the team and he will only get consistently better. The only problem is when Harden is on the court, Harden wants the ball. And when Harden is hot he deserves it. So there's your dilemna, Harden and Lin or best with the ball in their hands. Harden is the better scorer and Lin is the better playmaker. Really the only real problem on this team outside of stupid turnovers is poor shooting. Only 2 players are shooting above 33%. Our opponents are shooting 36% on average. I Parsons and Harden can shoot above 33% most of our problems go away. Just get Howard to find one go to move and we become elite.
