hmm...some good points, especially about recruiting and strength-of-schedule...and it's always nice to see a BCS "power" lose. congrats to ECU but i will NEVER EVER root for tulsa under ANY circumstances.

I tend to agree with others. I have a hard time cheering for the chief rivals of Texas (namely the Aggies and Sooners,) but it is somewhat beneficial to "my team" to see other teams in the conference or other teams on our schedule win in out of conference games. In football, it can help boost your BCS rating. In basketball, it can certainly help with the RPI, which has some bearing on seeding down the line.
**** ECU they ended my Hokies season in Week 1 with help from our OC and Sean Glennon. Nah though Congrats to ECU, that defense played outstanding today.
Props to ECU...They can win all the non-conf. games they want, as long as they lose to Houston... C-USA, gotta love it...
I grew up 5 mins from ECU in Greenville, NC. LOL all the other colleges HATE playing @ECU rather then any other team b/c you have to fly into Raleigh Durham and then drive 2 HOURS to get to ECU. So sad. Most places you fly into the city that you PLAY IN.
ECU has been getting exponentially better since Skip got there. They were really, really good last year, but got some tough breaks and it kept them out of the CUSA championship game. Now they're romping through the toughest OOC schedule in the nation, and people are trying to take away the credit they deserve. Baloney!
huh, they played 2 Virginia teams, none of which is from big ten. how the hell did you come to this conclusion? as far as i am concerned, top half of big ten would rip ECU to shred. let's see how ECU do against Marshall, later in the year, cause badgers played them like a fool yesterday.
Marshall hasn't been relevant since those two guys carried Byron Leftwich on his broken leg. The Big Ten is garbage. When matched up with other top schools from other conferences, they bend right over for them. I'm sure Utah would dismantle OSU like they did Michigan. I hope USC destroys them next week and expose that uber-overrated conference for the fraud they are.
again, that's your opinion and wish. not going to happen. when was last time CUSA was relevant? it's a league of teams that get lucky once in a while.
I was at the Pitt-Buffalo game last night whenever they flashed the final score of the ECU-WVU game. You should have heard all the drunken Yinzers cheering & goin nuts.
