That was responding directly to the original question of if drugs can be good for humans. I think alot of prevailing emotion behind progressive opinions these days is "We're not good enough how we are anymore/If we dont do something we're all going to die". Can you believe life expectancy just 100 years ago was 49 years old? And thats how life was for the previous hundred thousands years. Half this forum would be dead in 1910. We've added almost 30 years to that (helped by drugs?) Maybe we're "high" on progress cuz we've had so much so soon. We can't wait for the next thing. I think you can also look at it like our rough future might just equal what life usually was for generations before us, but its tragedy in our eyes. Though of course we want to maintain and better yet improve, no regression if we can help it. (In Swaziland, life expectancy now is only 32! . Good GOSH they need ALL THE DRUGS they can get. )
